Memphis Grizzlies...what the heck?

Seems to me like guys weren't respecting Jenkins enough to try hard...as blatantly evident at times in their win over Utah. for example, but also in several other games. They certainly weren't beating tough teams. So, yes, it's close to playoffs, but they were headed for an early exit. Their new interim coach is someone they had already brought in before this season began to inject much needed innovation into their half-court offense. With Jenkins gone they'll try harder on defense. So the firing should lead to an improvement on both offense and defense and to stronger postseason hopes. So we think head coach firing, what is this team doing, is it starting from scratch right before the playoffs. But now it's actually heading in a more stable direction.

This is roughly what I think might be the case, after talking with my good friend who happens to be a very close Memphis fan and reading a bit.
