*Well, in the spirit of full disclosure, about the only reason I'm betting the TPS Turku match is so that I have something to pass the time this morning (long weekend and it's pissing rain outside, so it's either fill the void with an iffy play or finish watching '13 Reasons Why'. Either way, it'll be a depressing start to the day).
And speaking of depressing, the O/U is off to a blazing start in the Ykkonen this season (that's pronounced "you-koh-nen" ~KJ) at 2-15, with the last 14 league matches going under. Now, a smarter person would just stay away but, well, y'know... The fact remains that the over has hit at rates of 62.2, 51.9, 61.5 the past three seasons, so this is a pretty big aberration to start the year (no, you can't just dismiss current results by saying "Well, this is atypical", but still...) Meanwhile, TPS were the highest scoring team in the league last season, both overall and at home (2.22/2.71), as well as the best O/U team in the league (19-8/12-2), so if anyone's going to break through, it's likely them. Meanwhile, Haka were the 2nd best O/U team in the league (18-9/9-5) and the bulk of their goals allowed were on the road, so that's always a good thing. Plus, each side is the owner of one of the 2 overs this season (TPS probably would've had a third if not for a game that was abandoned).
Again. what happened last season doesn't necessarily have much bearing on this season (just like what a team did two months ago isn't as instructive as what they've done in the past month) but, at the same time, the bookmakers obviously feel like this is a game that has the potential for goals (bet365 lines at the moment have the O/U at -138, Both Teams To Score at -163, and both team totals are juiced significantly to the over). Plus, not being able to score against super defensive squads, meh, that doesn't really tell me much of anything (not being able to score against bad defensive teams tells me a whole lot more).
Anyways, that's a whole lot of wasted time writing up a game that I'm only half sure about and that probably finishes in a scoreless draw, but this is what happens when you have nothing to do... Only other games of interest are the Neuchatel match (Le Mont can't score so pretty much asking Xamax to do all the scoring), Al Ahli Jeddah and River Plate later on tonight. We'll see how things stand at 1:30.
