Eagles - off two losses in a row, at LAC who may be without Herbert. No good. Best chance to use them is Week 17, at Buffalo.
Cowboys - red hot, now at Detroit in essentially an elimination game. Lions may be without the Sun God, big loss with Laporta also out. This is the only shot to use Dallas, they'll be favored the rest of the way. MAYBE.
Lions - other side of the coin. Fighting for playoff lives. At home. Best chance to use them is Week 15 at Rams. Pass.
Bears - white hot, winners of 5 in a row. Feeling themselves a bit after big Black Friday win. Going to Lambeau, tough game. It's either now or Week 17 at SF on MNF.
Packers - at home, no thanks. Could use next week at Denver or Week 16 in Bears rematch.
Panthers - Bye week. Could use week 17 vs Seattle or week 18 at Tampa.
Falcons - Worst team left faces the Seahawks juggernaut. At home, but Kirk vs that pass rush. Seattle are road warriors under current coach. Falcons also usable Week 15 at Tampa or week 17 at Rams. Breaks the no home teams rule but this is worthy of consideration.
Rams - First loss in weeks, now on the road again at the pesky but poor Cards. Would be an upset. Best chance to use is Week 16 at Seattle.
Seahawks - see Atlanta. Best chance to use is Week 18 at SF, or in a tossup game week 16 vs Rams.
Niners - Bye week. Best chance to use is week 16 at Indy.
Pats - Bye week. Best chance to use is week 16 at Baltimore, or Week 15 coinflip vs a Buffalo team looking for revenge.
Bills - Hosting a revived Bengals team. Pass. Best chance to use is Week 15 at NE or Week 17 vs Philly.
Ravens - Tough team to get a handle on. Looked like they were coming together then Burrow takes their lunch. Hosting an equally mediocre Steelers this week. Best chances to use are week 17 at Packers or maybe they have division clinched in Week 18 and start backups at Pittsburgh.
Jags - Ugliest 8-4 team hosts reeling Indy in a coinflip game. Best chance to use is Week 16 at Denver or Week 17 in the Indy rematch.
Colts - Tough road divisional game this week, but best weeks to use Indy are Week 15 at Seattle or Week 18 at Houston. There's a chance they lose regularly down the stretch.
Texans - Surging team with a top 3 defense, but they go to a desperate, rested KC team on SNF. This would be my #1 choice for the week. Only other time they may be usable is Week 17 at Chargers. I still think Chiefs are better than Chargers.
Broncos - At Raiders this week, no thanks. Home game vs Packers Week 15 will be tough, so will Week 17 at KC. May not be usable at all this year.
Chargers - It all depends on Herbert. If he can't play on Monday then I think I would use them, but when do you know for sure he's not playing? Chargers have tough road games at KC week 15, at Dallas week 16 and at Denver week 18. Another team that may not win many more the rest of the way.
Chiefs - Scary proposition using the Chiefs....toughest games are all at home (Houston, Chargers, Denver). Remaining road games are at the two worst teams in the league (Tenn, Raiders). May not be usable at all.
My game plan would be:
Week 14 - #1 Texans, #1A Chargers if it's confirmed early enough that Herbert is out, #3 Falcons, #4 Cowboys, #5 Packers
Week 15 eligibles - Falcons, Lions, Colts, Chargers, Packers, Bills or Pats
Week 16 - Jags, Chargers, Pats, Niners, Packers, Seahawks or Rams
Week 17 - Falcons, Ravens, Texans, Panthers, Bears, Jags, Bills,
Week 18 - Chargers, Colts, Seahawks, Panthers, Ravens maybe
