Little Fun: All NBA 1st and 2nd Team So Far

Beware the Stat Monkeys
Here is mine. Trying not to go off past history and injuries make a little tricky:

1st Team
1. SGA No brainer
2. Joker No brainer - really 1a.
3. Luca Actually hate his defense and whining and he's about 33% from 3 so far. but can't look past him.
4. Durant Houston going to be a threat if healthy
5. Brown Keeping Boston relevant - Tatum appears determined to come back this year

2nd Team
6. Wemby would be on 1st but injured
7. Curry same as Wemby
8. Cade Detroit schedule has been soft IMO and his 45%/30% shooting split is horrible. But can't deny results
9. ANT Minnesota not setting world on fire but right there.
10. Donovan having great season amid Cleveland disappointment

Others Close:
Brunson
Murray
Holmgren
Maxey
Giannis been hurt and Bucks suck but he's a 1st teamer usually.


I have no idea on stats this season so far, no idea who leads in points, rebounds, etc. Just my take on what I've watched and reading box scores. I value winning. Don't like stat monkeys (i.e. pile up numbers on shitty teams). I think top 6 or 7 top teams in West betten than any in East. OKC looks unbeatable - loves the way they defend. Think they'll get 73.

Ok that's my thoughts so far. Agree, disagree??
 
I've only watched a couple games but can comfortably say Booker is a top ten so far and would find his way on either the first or second team. He's played above and beyond any other season in his career to this point and why we aren't prepping for the draft right now.

I watched them kick the shit out of the Lakers the other night without him. So I've not noticed him much. I honestly dont know the stats much. Think Brooks has made all the difference. Green coming back too. They've done pretty darn good considering where they were. Always liked Booker. I can see 2nd team since they are winning. Definitely should be on Other list.
 
No homer here and I realize the shooting early on has those stats down but Cade above Durant is a no brainer.

27-9-6 and one of the most clutch 4th quarter players right now.

I was expecting this reply lol. My two negatives are the shooting % obviously and the schedule. I know they beat Houston game 2 of season but I need to see them beat the top West teams and Knicks. If they do that then he should be first team.

Yeah fat chance. No idea on most numbers. I just checked Detroit and Cade by chance a few weeks ago. I think Houston is a threat especially with Adams back. But we'll see. SA showed tonight they're a threat if wemby healthy.

Wild to think the Pacers nearly had the NBA finals.

Now, who can beat OKC 4x in a series? Moving forward....

They are only going to get better...

Spurs are a team in excited about. We could have a fun 5-7 year stretch of these two in the WCFs each year! David Stern rolling over in his grave at those big markets!

I did play a Spurs future in July. I'm not big on playing any Western Conference futures but that was a must.
 
Funny how things change pretty quickly. OKC no longer seems a sure thing in 7 game series. Anyway my current top 5.

Joker not in due to injury. Just don't like Luca lol. Whiner. Leonard has always been top 5 to me if playing. Just always hurt. Wemby not launching 3s anymore but still on perimeter too much for me. Giannis probably should be in. Thoughts?

Team that trades for AD and gives him max extension is moronic. Always hurt

Team that gives Reaves max is moronic. Developed into great offensive player but can't guard my grandmother

Team that gives Ja a max extension is moronic. Just a cancer who's lost a lot of game. Used to be my favorite to watch

If Washington gives Trae max they're moronic. See Ja.

Am I only one who doesn't see Flagg as superstar yet. About 27% ftom 3. Not a pure shooter. I see All Star right now not superstar. Only 19 I know but right now don't see it.
 
I really didn't expect to be watching the NBA this season but now Suns games are a must

Book playing at an all NBA level, not sure which team but he's there. I had no idea this group could produce at the level they are. Love the coach.

Yeah I'm shocked how well they're playing, all without Green so far. Booker top 10 or 15 for sure. Not worth $70m per year but who is. Shows you how impactful Brooks is too. They and Detroit best surprises so far. Funny how they have Center lakers should have Williams and Lakers have useless Ayton Suns once had

Always remember we took Ayton first overall over Luka because Sarver (UA grad) thought it was in the best interest of the franchise. Little tidbit about PHX and I'm sure you get in in Vegas too. We don't care about local products because hardly any of us are local people. We want to win. Fucking bum. And I supported him longer than many.

Dillon Brooks is a niche player and it seems to work here. Likely the best part of the Durant deal. Kinda figured he'd be a good plus for our team that needed that guy.

Still not sure where the Suns are in the grand scheme. Possibly could win a round in the playoffs type I guess but I don't know where most teams in the NBA are at this point.

Yeah it's changing every month. Injuries and teams getting hot and gold. Yeah Ayton a bum. Get all laker games here in lv and everyone thought he was a steal. But he's a low energy bum. Portland paid him not to play lol. I think Phoenix could fade unless Green gives them a good jolt. But there a lot of shitty teams in NBA so I can also see them a 6 and winning a series. I think the top 5 in West are separate from rest (okc, sa, Houston, Denver, Minnesota) but who the hell knows.

Holmgren, Booker, Ant, Murray, Banchero

Thoughts? Obviously have a West bias.

Purely on stats...

Flip Ant and Mitchell.

He's just slightly better in Pts, Assists and Boards. And he shoots it a bit better field and 3pt.

Yeah not surprising. Couldn't tell you one stat really. I dont like Ant much, too much of a showboat for me. Need a vet on that team to teach him. Randle Gobert ain't it.
