(UPDATE 11/24) We are told today a tentative agreement on an offer in principle between USC and Tom Herman has been reached. The deal is contingent on Herman and his wife liking what they see when they visit USC and Herman and Ray Tanner being comfortable with one another. That visit could take place as early as Sunday or the first part of next week depending on the outcome of Houston’s game Friday with Navy. A Houston loss would expedite the process. All information at this time points toward Herman. All other names are simply fallback prospects should things not work out with Herman.
 
a leak like that is not good tho. John Whittle who is the closest to Ray Tanner of any media member said this:
1) Someone semi in the know who has credible information but was a little bit overzealous. 2) Someone with Kirby Smart's interest at heart leaking something with hopes of Herman pulling out.
I'm fairly confident it's the first one.

It's easy to say now, but I would have said the same thing before the game. USF is a nice choice for a teaser, The UCF O is brutally bad.

We always suck against the option teams and citadel needed a win against us to get an at large bid for their playoffs. Our D can not handle a well executed option. Clemson very well may rape us terribly but 3 TDs is a lot in Willy B. If Spurrier was still coaching I firmly believe Dabo would have ran it up to get him back for all the nose rubbing over the years.
 
I am the firm belief that Dado held back the past couple of weeks just for this game. 21.5 is a lot. But if given the chance, he is going to make a recruiting statement.

Books he very well could do that. If he expends that kind of energy on us with what's in front of him he can be my guest. Recruiting/coaching landscape will seismically shift depending on the coaching hire. Or we could get a crap coach and the bad days continue so def not a bad point
