According to a published report, a Jets employee was asked to stop videotaping the Patriots sideline during the first quarter of a game in Foxborough last season. Jets officials claim everything was above board.
"All filming at last year's Patriots game was done with pre-approval from the Patriots and in accordance with NFL rules," Bruce Speight, the Jets' senior director of media relations, told Newsday.
The Jets employee at the stadium was removed but the camera was not confiscated, according to the report. The employee's filming took place on the mezzanine level of the stadium.
The newspaper also said there was some confusion as to which Patriots home game the videotaping occurred. New York played at New England twice, including a playoff game.
In Week 1 of this season, New England was sanctioned by the NFL for videotaping the Jets' sideline. The NFL took away the Patriots' first-round draft pick, fined the team $250,000 and fined head coach Bill Belichick another $500,000.
On Sunday, New England is looking to improve its record to 14-0 when they host the Jets at Foxborough. The Patriots can clinch home-field advantage throughout the playoffs with a win.

we do not cheat, we have had a bad enough year thanks mangini not bringing in clemens early enough, and these assclown patriots have obviously tried to leak something to take the spygate blame off of them and put it onto us

coincidently, we play those damn pats this weekend, and the story leaks out now? I for one do not believe it for a second, and it is just another scam that belicheat has worked up to take the blame off of his team and keep the focus on what it needs to be on (winning the big one) , going into the playoffs

No, it's true Cap#2. Here's the difference, the Patriots were taping signals from coaches to players from the sideline; the Jets were taping from the upper level of Gillette Stadium. Taping what I don't know! But it is not as serious according to everyone in the media because the Pats were taping from the sidelines and the Jets were taping from the upper level.

This whole ordeal is a load of crap -- the Jets filmed, the Pats filmed, and who knows what other teams filmed. The Pats did worse than everyone else somehow, they were fined, the season goes on, and the Pats are 13-0 without tapes.

This whole spygate story is hype; it is the media doing what they do best, and that is cause drama. NFL fans should be grateful that they are able to see one of the best teams in NFL history play this season, and we might see a three-decade old record broken, 16-0.

Jets videotape the actual game from the endzone and they do it every game with the premission of the home team.......last year Gayichick said no and kicked the video guys out......perfectly legal to video tape the GAME not the D coordinators.......
