The dog days are here but we should be able to find some mini schedule spots coming up.

You all will want to kick me, but Monday night was probably my one big bet I've been looking forward to since last May...

Playoff revenge isn't like the old days but Detroit and New York qualified there. I wanted to do a full writeup and get the boys fired up but two things happened...

1. I was quite sick and simply catching up on life.

2. Injuries galore for Detroit.

With that being said, a local buddy of mine texted me saying "hey Detroit qualifies as a wounded animal bet, right?" I had a good laugh as he thinks it's funny that I bet on teams missing stars a handful of times a year.

Anyways, that convinced me to put a few on the game at plus money. Honestly with a full team I was betting that top unit plus. Stick to your gut and get the play here.

So, we'll work extra hard coming up to find a beauty.

We're also a month away from the trade deadline. Things should start getting spicy!

Nice break for Detroit right now.

Wednesday they beat the Bulls short-handed. A few days off and then a Saturday rematch with the Clippers. Their last meeting was the Kawhi double nickel around Xmas.

After that game they do not play till next Thursday vs Phoenix.

So, no reason to rush Duren back tomorrow. The same maybe true for Cade as well.

Mid day game today in Berlin, curious any thoughts. First glance I think Magic laying the 5 makes some sense. Not sure if these overseas games have led to differences in point scoring. Easy to think time change to under would be the play but I also think showing off in front of a different crowd could lend to a more all-star type atmosphere.

Totally was out of pocket today.

We had a star player out situation in Detroit tonight and I didn't know until mid first quarter. Bummer.

With that being said, I flipped and grabbed Detroit +2.5 later.

That being said, Phoenix + the points was an auto bet tonight with that being Book's first game out.

Star players are out so often now its hard to keep up. I think tonight was Brunson 1st game out too wasn't it? Anyway seems like a 60% winner but too hard to define and track

Charlotte finishing up a 5 gm west coast trip with their 3rd in 4 nights and playing b2b after being in SF last night traveling to Denver tonight. No Jokic keeping the line down but considering the Nuggs

That score was an absolute shock.

Probably the first MLK day in some time with not a lot going on.

I'm a few weeks behind on the NBA and trying to catch up.

That being said, I'm stalking Knicks and Mavs.

Maybe not now as this half has ended horribly for the Knicks.

We'll see how the 3rd starts...

I didn't bet anything but I've certainly seen this quite a bit this year...

High paced 1st half, a DD lead... And a complete 2h under. This was extremely ugly I'm not sure if these teams hit 90 in the 2h. Maybe just over.

Every season is unique in how 1st/2nd halves compare. That's why I have been a bit sparse this year. Last year I had a GREAT feel on 2nd halves. This year has been a learning process (all with regard to totals).

Btw, trade Brown for Butler can do wonders... Butler needs new career and he pretty good fit for Knicks culture... He can't be any worse than Brown... Worst coach of the year ever I think...

yeah firing Thibs not looking so great but long season. Kerr hates Kuminga so you're likely right but if I'm another team I wouldn't give up squat for him at this point. never been a fan of Butler but they were really starting to play better so it's a big blow - I had them #6 b4 he went down.

Smart today played in the 4th like best 3&D in the league. Lakers need at least at least one more 3&D before trade deadline, if they have any hopes to do something this season...

@B.A.R.

Hornets coming off a 5 game roadie play at home tonight then right back on the road tomorrow. Don't think this falls under your super scheduling spot but does look tempting.
It's very close --

2 days between is why it doesn't pop up.

Now, I would still look at tomorrows game with a bit more interest.

Drose getting his number retired tonight. Noah, Gibson, Kirk in attendance. I assume Thibs could be? Would expect a solid effort and a live crowd.

Magical ending with the local kid to me Huerter nailing a 3 at the buzzer.

The Drose thing is bittersweet. Injuries are a part of sports but man they’ve absolutely thwarted a couple of dynasties for my teams.

D Rose and G Hill both had potential to be top 5 all time at their respective positions.

Coming back to this...

Glad I didn't get any side on Thursday as they stomped Orlando 124-97.

Admittedly, I lost a live under by a half point though. They just kept scoring and scoring late in that game.

Drose just said he’s a billionaire!! Those Adidas deals did okay for him. And being humble and not blowing money.
Really?

He's definitely humble. A good dude.

I'm shocked just because he wasn't the smartest young guy coming into the league. Sounds like he learned early and hopefully had a good support group around him.

Lakers won!?

Wow.

So... They were hot garbage for the first 18 mins of the 2h.

I had their live TT over I took with 3+ mins left at plus money. They were down 104-99 when I bet it.

Ended up winning 116-110. Nice comeback.
