It's March 23rd... Let's talk some NBA with the NCAA off for a few days...

For rooting purposes...

I have a free (basically) middle chance right now with Lakers TT o53.5 +106 and u55.5 -107...

Luka went to the locker room at the end of the 1st after a quick 15. I honestly played that TT to potentially hold but decided to middle with him back in receiving medical attention.

Luka is back in. He is limping...

I should correct myself, he had 17 in the first quarter.

I will say, the Lakers can make a young Spurs team nervous in the semi's if LeChina can continue to accept this role with the Lakers. I've been watching intently tonight for capping purposes. At his age, with his skill set, accepting this role as the third guy/2B is huge. Let Luka cook and don't take away from Reeves.

Now, James is still a pretty big liability on defense. But, so are Luka and Reeves to be honest. The role players will have to do a lot here.

But, that being said, the Spurs are going to be very new to these playoffs. For as good as they are, this will be different. This potential 2nd round series will be pretty entertaining in my opinion!

Now, Houston/Denver/Minnesota are all 2.5 games behind the Lakers for the 3 seed so this is premature. But, I want to take a look and kinda start projecting out these playoffs!

Think about these two first round series right now...

Minnesota and LA Lakers (again)
Denver and Houston

Terrific matchups!

Houston was aggressive this summer with the Durant trade. I know @lvmike32 wasn't all that excited. I definitely wasn't crowning them at all last summer. Still, they are a good team, but I think most agree they are a step behind the top of the West right now. Those two games vs LAL last week had to be a bit disheartening!

Minnesota has slowly been creeping up in the stand once the past few months... Dangerous team...

Denver is the type of team that feels like they can beat OK City in a 7 game set.

Bottom line, this is going to be a lot of fun.

I bet ya the Thunder wouldn't mind if Denver either fell to 6 or surged to the 3 spot. Why? That would keep a potential Nuggets matchup from happening until the WCF's. Bottom line, the Thunder likely hope to avoid playing BOTH Denver and San Antonio.

Halftime of the 7pm games...

Helluva 2nd by Detroit with 42 points! Dannis Jenkins going off nicely!

Both teams shot poorly in the 1st, but the Pistons were not in the 2nd. A lot of fouls and somewhat chippy as well.

Third career scoreless half for LeBron.

Oklahoma City quite efficient vs the lowly Sixers. Red hot from 3 point range.

Siakim and Paulo each with 20+ in a fun game down in Orlando.

Quite the shootout in the other Florida game. Those two teams combined for 48 points by the 5 min mark of the first. Excellent pace numbers so far. Watching this in the 2h. My early look was an under but with these pace numbers I don't think I could unless we see mid 260s.

Tryin to take advantage of the crazy number of points put up in Miami, took u252.5
I almost took the under 259.5 with a few mins left in the first quarter to have a number.

The pace scares me BUT this game will have a lull and the Spurs games generally show some defense at some point.

Interesting, I called the Sixers "lowly" above and they are 39-32. I simply don't think much of this team in a playoff setting. I'd rather they slip down a notch or two. Miami and Orlando are very dangerous in the 7-10 bracket in the East. Detroit and Boston both will be leery about those potential first round matches.

Excellent first 3:30 for ya.

The Heat have 2 points.

Currently 244.5

Wild third in Orlando... Total was 242.5 @ half and currently @255.5

Entire quarter was a lull + blowout.

Goodness the Spurs are such a good team.

75 point 3rd in Orlando
68 point 3rd in Philly

Goodness.

Both went over in the first half as well.

Sometimes you have to wonder when it stops?

Definitely don't want to be part of an under in these games involving a non playoff team. Goodness.

We've followed that trend in previous years and found some great overs in April. I remember that.

Something to keep an eye on.

Bulls up by 17 at half...

Chicago with 11 made threes.

Houston is 2-17 on triples.

YIKES.

Line @ half Chicago -6.5 and 233.5.

That is Action's Bet Labs long-winded, insane parameters way of saying Dallas isn't really good and the Dubs don't really suck.

What a win in Detroit!
Daniss Jenkins had a career high 30 and hit what ended up being the GW basket.

Daniss was a two way contract until Detroit signed him for good in January.

He immediately went into a slump and honestly we were worried.

This Case situation has forced him back into action and he's showing out once again!

69 in Chicago

This is incredible tonight.

I want to blindly take the rest of the 3rd quarter overs in games involving a non playoff team.
Been frustrating to try and bet tonight...

I wish I went square, I'd be doing quite well! Lol.

Any unders I've actually had I cannot buy a lull anytime before the 3min mark of the 4th quarter.

We have 100 points in the 2h in Chicago and still over 6 mins to go.

Rockets might pull this out.

Mavs and Warriors not waiting till the 3rd to start the fun..

65 at end of first quarter.

Currently 38 this period with 6:30 left in the 2nd quarter.

Insane shooting going on in this one.

136 in first half.

Pace isn't even crazy, just incredible shooting.

Meanwhile, another 3rd quarter over in Utah looks to be happening.

Wild night of overs in the NBA. What a night to be square. Detroit and LA are the only under, and that was basically our only playoff game. Makes sense.

Toronto has 37 points in 8:15 of the 3rd.

I'm going to try and track these games between playoff teams and shit teams this week and see if this is a solid trend going forward.

Or is this a one night thing!?

Absolutely incredible scoring we're seeing. Toronto might hit 50 points this quarter.

Okay, I really wanted to bet Portland and Brooklyn 2H over BIG with how tonight is going but we'll track this for a few days. Make sure this is a thing...

Okay this one is hilarious...

The 3rd quarter actually went UNDER the 53

The 4th quarter was kinda dismal too...

UNTIL 4:47 left...

34 points scored in a blowout after that point.

2h goes over by 7-8 points.

Funny enough, I jumped late third at 223.5 and again in the 4th at 219.5. The pace was not great though and I middled the low end at 221.5... then all heck broke loose. Every time.

That game was wild in this regard too...

30+ fouls in the 1H

Then Portland was in the bonus 4 mins into the 3rd.

In the fourth i don't believe a foul was called until halfway through the quarter.

One thing I've successfully done this year is fade the fouls. What do I mean by that? If I see a 1h with a ridiculously low amount of high amount of fouls I will look to go opposite with regards to totals in the 2h. Obviously a few other things need to line up but I've noticed things seem to change at the half. I'm sure they look at the notes and/or get a call from the league ;)

Cam Thomas somehow became from (his) hopes to get paid big to getting cut by two teams in less than two months span...

Yeah I said at the time i thought suns got a great return considering their situation last year. Been a lost year for Green but look what Brooks has done for suns. Houston misses that. And Van Fleet injury killed them. But l will always wonder if they could've gotten Durant without giving up Brooks.

Didn't Memphis have Brooks, Bane and Adams at one point few years ago? With young Morant. Easy to see why they've digressed.

Wow he got off to great start after trade too. Sure Doc didn't help any too. That GM has to go. Lilard disaster, then Turner disaster, Kuzma, etc. now they're screwed for decade.
