How are leagues dealing with Travis Hunter this year?

It’s a unicorn. So difficult to judge where to: number one allow him to play as a commish, and two how to draft him. It’s like the great Taysom Hill debate at QB/TE of a few years ago.

It seems most in my circles have avoided him to let the dust settle on where he’ll be the biggest influence, and ultimately which side of the ball he’ll settle into.
 
I don’t think there was much difference in drafting in most leagues. Potentially undervalued.

In my IDP league he went for $29 out of a $230 budget (2 keepers + 1 idp can be kept for $10). Fairly normal roster construction on offense 1 QB, 2 WR, 2 RB, 1 TE, 1 FLEX, 1 K but includes 6 IDP Spots - 1 D, 2 DB, 2 LB, 1 DE.

He can’t be kept as an IDP. However since he has defensive eligibility this year, he basically could become a DB that has weekly WR2/3 in a half PPR league giving that team a big leg up. The guy who drafted him said he budgeted $60 for him. Not sure I’d say he offers that much of an advantage but I could be completely wrong.
 
The IDP league I joined allows both offense and defense production to count with Hunter carrying a WR, CB position label. His Z-score when put in a D position puts a value on him as a top 10 pick. You just have to be careful because of the risk and uncertainty of his true role. He ended up lasting until around pick 50.

This. Won’t be playing both sides. No league should factor in his independent defensive production. Thats just stupid.
