Good day yesterday
USC +4 (1u) vs Oregon State.
Both teams played Utah and won. The difference is that Oregon St, allowed over 500 offensive yards, while Utah also had -3 in turnovers. Ore St won, but not by much.(51-48)
USC played a great defensive game in a low scoring 19-3 win but held Utah to only 201 yards on offense. Utah also was -4 in turnovers in the loss/
Both teams were able to get turnovers against the Utes but based on a superior defense that the Trojans have, there is a good chance that they will get the money at Oregon st..
Stanford held the Beavers to only 288 yds last week. More importantly, Mannion had 271 passing and hit 41 of 57 attempts but only had a 4.8 yd avg per completion for the Beavers, who were shut down running the ball for only 17 yards on 24 carries!
To make the Beaver loss even more revealing, Stanford played poorly in the win, with a total of only 88 passing yards.
The Beavers could be looking ahead to their next game against AZ St. while USC has Cal on deck.

Wisconsin-9 (2u) vs Iowa.
Hawkeyes are in trouble today as they face another top team in the Big T.en. Home field dog isn't enough for me to go with the points. Fact is, that the Hawkeyes are far less productive against conference teams and their offense is averaging 15pts per game less - than when they play out-of-conference opponents.
South Carolina -12 (4u) vs Miss State
3:30-6:30pm
Northwestern +5 (2u) vs Nebraska.
After playing four (4) straight tough opponents from the conference, this game should be the best chance to for the Wildcats to cover one, even on the road in Nebraska. Watch for the possible upset.
Navy +14.5 (1u) vs Notre Dame
Florida +3 (3u) vs Georgia
Texas -27.5 (2u) vs Kansas
Utah State -23.5 (3u) vs Hawaii
UL Lafayette -31 (2u) vs New Mexico State
7-11pm
Miami Fl. +21 (1u) vs Florida State
Hurricanes are the best team that FSU has faced this season defensively. Not willing to play FSU with a first year starting qb and laying 21 points. Caines could surprise with good defense today, but I don't expect a win unless the Seminoles self-destruct. Cains have survived and the defense is what still has them ranked high. Today's test will tell all, if either team is as good as their record.
