it's not just the steroids/hgh suspicions, but the money aspect as well. i don't blame mayweather for demanding more stringent drug testing, especially considering who he (manny) had in his corner. go ahead and google alex ariza hgh and see what comes up. one of the shadiest dude in the business was coincidentally with manny during his historic rise in weight? and coincidentally rios just failed a drug test with ariza in his corner. and maidana may or may not have gotten something from ariza in the corner. dude is shady as can be.
the financial aspect of floyd "dodging" manny is a little more complicated than "just fight the dude, jeez". if you're floyd and you're undefeated, and people buy your fights no matter what, wouldn't you think you deserve a larger piece of the pie? manny thought because he was on a hot streak and in his prime, that he could demand a larger cut of the PPV pie. that's all fine and good, but don't try and paint the picture like floyd was running from you. there was a break down in negotiations. but why didnt' manny agree to the olympic style testing? it's good enough for olympians but not for manny? i find that kind of weird. just doesn't make sense.
floyd doesnt' fight people that he thinks can beat him, so i think floyd knew that there would be an increased risk in fighting manny, and he wanted to make sure he was compensated for taking that extra risk. i can't blame the guy for wanting more money, he's the biggest ppv draw in boxing, and has been for quite a while.
