I think time always makes a better case for the underdog. From what I read RICHT is practicing his team very hard. They are conditioning every day, as he was pissed about giving them too much time off vs West Virginia 2 years ago.

Figure the crowd will be all Georgia. I just think a motivated Georgia team will crush Hawaii, they have been through wars with Florida, Auburn, Kentucky and no how to play in a game like this.

Put Hawaii in the Sec and they are not going 12-0 or even 9-3. I see no advantage for them except for the perceived public fun and gun offence. In a BCS bowl game here I actuall think Georgia is the UNDERDOG here because they are playing an undefeated team, and is all business. RICHT is coaching well.

One of two things will happen, Hawaii will be a lot better than people think they are

Or they will be what they are and Georgia will crush them. A power running team with a good D vs a soft team like Hawaii?

I see Georgia blasting Hawaii right out of this stadium.

GEORGIA best 3 teams they played they scored more than 40 points! 42 vs Florida, 45 vs Auburn and 45 vs Mississipi.

Also this was the most points that Florida and Auburn gave up all year. IN games that mattered Georgia showed up. I don't care how good Hawaii's pass offence is it will not matter, I dont think they are better than Florida or kentucky.
 
I like GA and I think because of what Boise did LY vs OK, GA antennas are extended.

Notice how Boise was 7 pt dog LY and the line really never moved with everyone on OK. TY it opened north of 10 with public on Hawaii.

Public is always late to the party.
 
I like georgia here as well.

i do think there will be more hawaii fans than you think for this game. I am out of town and currently near the new orleans area and have seen plenty of georgia and hawaii fans in the area.

troy was the closest thing to hawaiis offense that georgia saw this year ( what a crying shame troy got snubbed by the bowls ). Troy did have success moving it on them.

I think the extra time to prepare for hawaii offense helps the bull dogs.
Had Georgia Tech pummeled fresno today then i might have put an extra five percent on this game. After Boise performance and the nevada wolfpack performance ( ouch , i had those bastiges ) i felt the WAC might have been exposed. Fresno game gives them more credibility now.

i personally have georgia rated as the number two power rated team in the nation behind oklahoma ... so in my mind , if hawaii wins this straight up they can make a legitimate claim to being number 1.

Bottom line for me is that i just dont see hawaii stopping the georgia offense at all and while i think hawaii can move the ball and score some on georgia ( heavens knows they have the makings of a good back door cover offense ) they are also far more likely to turn the ball over. Historically this ahsnt mattered much to hawaii as they generally outmatch their opponents and can overcome this.

speaking of that ....one thing that hawaii does that makes life difficult for opponents is they use so many wide receivers and most teams just dont have talented depth to cover them all. Not the case with a team like Georgia.

The numbers 7 7 8 and 2, were Hawaii's margin of victory over the 4 bowl teams they played.

7 point win over Fresno state, Washington 8 point win over Boise and 2 point win over Nevada, this tells me that Brennan BS is all hype if he was that good they would be beating teams badly. He is all hype, this team is hype, they always hype the DOG in these matches, but you know what this DOG is dead.

Georgia's wins were big wins by huge spreads over wicked teams? WHy cause they are a team that wins the old fashioned way RUNNING and DEFENSE, taht is why this spread is low- I guarantee you if FLorida is playing them line is at least -13 vs Hawaii..

Hawaii will have no crowd there, Georgia always travels well and will be focussed to shut down Brenna. This is a football game not BRENNAN vs the Bulldogs. Georgia can manhandle GEorgia, they will run and want it more and sack the shit out of Hawaii.

Quite frankly Georgia is stronger and will want it more, Hawaii has never faced a hungry team like Georgia, tehy will be shocked at the guys at the line of scrimmage hooting and hollering and grunting and coming after them bigtime in this game. Hawaii is all HYPE, last years Boise has nothing to do with this game, Oklahoma took them lightly and Georgia is much better than that Oklahoma team and Hawaii is not as good as that Boise team. This Hawaii team is actually scoring less than GEORGIA vs top teams, and I am talking about Nevada, fresno , washington and Boise, Georgia hit over 40 pts 5 times this year, vs florida, auburn, missiissipi, troy

Don't overthink this one, Georgia will rock these warrriors right in the mouth and send them home packing

As you can see...a lot of UGA movement early till it peeked..then UH movement..some of which was precipitated by Bob I would tend to believe.

Bar anyone that just stops and thinks about this it is simple. WHy does anyone bet Hawaii here? I tell you why because of offense, BRENNAN and an undefeated team. This means nothing at all.

This game is exactly like a game about 7 years ago remember Tennessee vs Nebraska I think and Nebraska won easy and still beat Manning, they were just too strong of a team and beat Manning and Tennesee. Hawaii will be out of sync, Brennan cannot do it alone he needs the O line to give it time, the receivers to be able to run and get open, do i think Georgia can stop them??? HELL Yah if Nevada and Fresno state and washington and Boise could hold them to under 40 and in the 30's I think Georgia is more than capable.

If you just take all of your own picks and thoughts you will win, once you start thinking that others are god or this guy has this and that guy has that you cloud your judgement. I agree Joe, they are who we thought they are, in every match even UFC where there is time people always make a case for the underdog and say see I told you they could win. Sometimes they can but not every single DOG can win. People sway away from logic and tend to make a case for the underdog. It is no difference than an problem in a marriage. Guy cheats on his wife and says thats sit it is over I am divorcing. Over the span of a month she reconsiders and says okay I will take him back, because she reasons and gives in to pressure. Hawaii here is the same situation, they are a complete FRAUD.

The reason it matters is the line reached double-digits and he released his leans and plays and the line came back. His subscibers are part of the movement back towards 7.5 and 8. Thats why it matters. It is relevent when analyzing the movement on this particular game.
 
I like GA -4.5 for the first half. Hawaii seems to be a slow starting team before their offense gets in a rhythm. GA is going to come out and just shove it down their throats. Their D Line is going to pressure the hell out of Brennan. I'm still debating whether I should add a game bet also on GA, but I love GA first half.
 
I'm so sick of even discussing this HAW team, they should be banned from NCAA along with their loser fans. They should stick to playing teams like NO COL or Charl SO.
 
While I tend to agree with your general premise , sammy ... Hawaii is far from a one man show.

Seems people either criticize Brennan for being a system qb or they give him too much credit for being the whole hawaii program right now. Truth is somewhere inbetween .... he is a damn good qb who fits perfectly into june jones system. Hawaii has a decent OL for pass protection ( aided by quick passing schemes no doubt but still decent ) , a very telanted wr corps ( I love Bess ), and an underrated rush defense ( still think georgia has a huge edge against them here but then again i think they have a huge edge against almost all rush defenses in the nation ).

I love Georgia here more for what i think they bring to the table more than any deficiencies in the hawaii team.

just my opinion of course.

Thats fine...but...it was mentioned as far as how he impacts lines and creates value in many ways.

Relax.

Now, he didn't move lines as much later in season and bowls because he had a down year. Just wanted to point out the fact that a bit of the move back down was that as well as Hawaii money.
 
We will cash it, georgia wore down Florida and ran down Auburns throat but the key is if Hawaii tries to stop Georgia on the run, Georgia will hit deep passes vs them. PIck your poison, Georgia run game will not struggle vs Hawaii, they cannot stop us, Georgia I think RICHT is on a mission he is making them practice the miniute they got off the plane to orleans and also doing conditioning every day. He said they were slow 2 years ago vs WEst VIRGINIA. No such repeat here, and a big blowout vs Hawaii will silence the critics.

I just don't see Hawaii able to shred our secondary because they will be one dimensional, and its not like Georgia cannot cover, they may just hit some tiny Hawaii smurf receivers and make them think twice about catching the ball.
 
A game like this could be a carreer killer for RICHT if he loses. Imagine the embarrassment to him, the school of Georgia, you think they are going to rehire him? The team would be embarassed bigtime, he was already embarsassed by west virginia, so i think that will translate into the hungry bulldogs i think thier D line will look to take a bite out of Brennan's ass as they will be fired up.

RICHT went nuts midseason he ordered the team to take a celebtration penatly after scoring vs Florida, the whole team danced in the endzone.

Then he quickly changed to these black uniforms before a game vs Auburn and they won in a blowout bigtime. This is the key, RICHT is a madman right now, he will go bezerk tomorrow on the sidelines,

I like this attitude from RICHT, he ripped the DOGS hard after they played lazy ball vs Tennesse. He gets them fired up look they rip everyone hard.

You guys are pissing on Hawaii like it's their fault for being in the BCS?? I dont get it....give credit to where it's due. How many of you made money on this Hawaii team? How many of you have tailed Hawaii Guy and have won? Gee's...give me a fucking break people. So you say the WAC is a fraud because of the losses of BSU and Reno, but yet last year all the bandwagoners were behind the Broncos?!?!? When was the WAC ever that good and stack with teams compariable to top ranked teams? Not all conferences can have the luxury of being an SEC, Big 10, PAC 10, etc. caliber. But at least give credit to those who deserve it OR at least play their guts out.

Just because Hawaii had a weak schedule, their still the ONLY undefeated team in FBS. It's not their fault or the fans fault for the scheduling. I think Hawaii has the talent to compete against Georgia and I really think they deserve to play in a BSC, along with Utah and Boise in the past years.
