Likely the best lefty in the AL this year. Valdez has no losses in his last 10 starts. The Stros are 9-1. Valdez has not allowed over 2 runs in mie of the starts. He allowed 4 VS Dodgers but Hou still won.
His rod era is double what his home era is. 3.66 road. 1.71 home.
Can Giolito beat Hou? In three starts back in 2023 and 2022 he is 0-3 with a high era against them over 7.00.
This year he is good overall with an era of 3.80. But in his last 5 starts he lost to 2 winning teams and allowwed 4-5 runs in short innings.
Can Valdez face the Green Monster? His teammate (Gordon) got crushed yesterday, another lefty.
Redsox are 2-0 in morning games this year.

Bassitt has balooned in his last 5 starts. he allowed 9 runs in his last 2 starts. Jays lack pitching depth.
