G-Man
Pretty much a regular
The Won-Lost record isnt bad. Just got hit hard on big bet upsets.
Got back on track last Saturday. (12-6)
Week 0. 1-2. -398
Week 1. 16-18. -4070.00
Week 2.
Saturday.
12:00
San Jose State. +37 over Texas. 5 units
Short-Horns have a lot of gelling to do.
Like Spartans with Bowl-level squad to cover.
Texas out-played OSU last week in the stats. First downs, passing yds and rushing yds. - but Manning had several passes overthrown that could have changed the outcome.
Buckeyes were totally unprepared last week and arent really a #1 ranked team at this point either.
Its obvious that QB Sayin isn't NFL Drafted,Howard. Drop off at QB will be exposed and wouldn't be surprised to see no 2 starter in soon. Both teams were underachievers last week. Wouldn't expect a big performance from Texas, this week either.
Penn State -42 over FIU. 6 units.
FI-Who? I'm counting on PSU to shut them out.
Baylor. +2.5 over SMU. 6 units
Bears wont be facing the unstoppable run game that Auburn had last week rolling up 317 yds rushing. That owned T.O.P. for Auburn.
.
Illinois/Duke. Under 49 5 units.
Blue Devils had battle tested schedule LY. They faced several teams that were as good as Illinois last year. They return a solid group with 14 starters.and QB.
I have Illinois as my favorite team to watch, but numbers say Duke is the play as they played one common opponent year -N'Western.
Duke was better in the stats and total yards. Home field is the edge. You're on your own with a side..
Im betting UNDER 49
Iowa +3.5 over Iowa State.10 units (Play of the Day).
High Confidence Play.
Lets not forget that Iowa has finally obtained an offense. Last year they produced 28pts/gm . the prior two years only 15 and 18 pts/gm.
On defense they have gone 4 straight years allowing under 20pts/gm.< Sounds a little like the Chargers last night...
Texas A&M-32.5 over Utah State. 5 units
Power house of returning players for t.he Aggies. They bring back 16 with a starting QB. Top rated defense at 22 pts/game will be the roa- block for U-St in this game.
A&M Could be looking ahead to Notre Dame next week on the road, but don't see U-St. doing much with 2 starters returning on offense.
3:30
Ole Miss -9 over Kentucky. 5 units
Ole' Miss was a 14th ranked team last year. They pulled off big wins over Duke in bowl game and Oklahoma. KY was unranked and still is.
This is a revenge game for Ole Miss , They lost to 15-point under dog KY last year. Miss has a new QB who is the Big Hope this year. They lost Dart - who was a good QB. Simmons is expeted to be a siolid replacement for Dart. They didnt dissapoint last week, I had them -34.5 over Ga State.
Ole' Miss has a top 10 defense last year allowing only 14 points per game!
Oklahoma State +28. over Oregon 5 units.
The Ducks lost Dillon Gabriel (Drafted by the Cleveland Browns.) who was a top rated QB with a 164 qb rating last year.
Most teams that lose an NFL grade QB - never match the performance as a first year replacement. i/e. Ohio State losing Howard and now starting Sayin. .
That said, Im on Okie State with the points .
Kansas +5.5 over Missouri. 4 units
Kansas has a returning QB, that even though they had a losing record last year -they were a Positive scoring team/ Looking like an upset here.? But I'll take the points.
7:30
Oklahoma -5 over Michigan. 4 units
Wolverines were the lowest scoring road team last year. They didnt do much this year to improve the outlook.
Sooners are solid on offense. They should score at least once in every quarter. Public may not be aware that Michigan played only 4 road games during the regular season last year - averaging only 13 pts/game.
4:15PM
Florida -18 over USF. 6 units
Bosie was hammered last week By USF. The momentum was kiled early in the game, when Bosie spotted USF 10 free points on turnovers.
Turnovers is one department that Florida makes a habit of creating. They smacked FSU last year on 5 turnovers.
Im not seeing USF anywhere near as good as FSU was a year ago, in todays matchup.
They do return a good group of starters with 16 but Florida is am imporved group as well. They are also battle tested as can be - with ranked opposition last season against Georgia, Texas, LSU, Ole Miss, and Florida State. Bosie wasn't at that level last week.
I Don't see USF getting gifts again on the road. They may be handing them out instead - to the Gators.
Nebraska -34 over Akron. 6 units
Nebraska killed me last week - giving it up to Cincinnati in the second half by getting outscored 14-7, after having a 1st half lead 13-3.
They were a plus 5 team last year and returned most of the offense. They should be able to cover this against an Akron squad that has only 5 returning players on offense from a year ago.
The Zips were shut out at home by Wyoming last week 10-0. ?? Cowboys must have played all second-stringers to do that bad...
Michigan State -3-5. over Boston College. 8 units
Revenge game from last year at BC losing on 4 turnovers to the Eagles in a game in which MSU outgained them.
Home field now in Michigan should do the trick. Spartans return 18 starters with QB.
Boston is 0-4 last four road games with this group - and also lost the bowl game as well to Nebraska, making them a perfect 0-5 SU last 5 away.
USC -29. over Georgia Southern . 5 units
Trojans paid off last week for me against Missouri State.
USC opens against Big10 @Purdue next week.
Last game out of conference in regular season was @ Ole'Miss and they were hammered 52-13 with a Plus +36 point spread line.
Lets not coast today boys.
Got back on track last Saturday. (12-6)
Week 0. 1-2. -398
Week 1. 16-18. -4070.00
Week 2.
