Report: Dwight Howard sought trade to Lakers

Hakeem Olajuwon believes that Dwight Howard will re-sign with the Lakers in the offseason, and also revealed that Howard sought a trade to the Lakers when deciding to move on from Orlando.

Interesting. The popular belief was that Howard wanted to go to Brooklyn, but Olajuwon tells a different story. The two big men are close after working out together during 2010 and 2011, and Olajuwon plans to meet with Howard during All-Star weekend in Houston. When asked about Howard re-signing with the Lakers, Olajuwon said, "I think so, I think so. Because that is where he wanted to be. He wanted to go there. He loves L.A. He feels like it's a great chance for him to win a championship, and he wants to be another great center for the Lakers of the future." Those kind of quotes can't be ignored in a season that has been filled with turmoil for Howard and the Lakers.

Parker was always mediocre PG in my opinion, till the last 3 - 4 seasons, when he added a decent mid range shot.
Right now, he is one level below Rose and CP3 I believe - just as good as the other top PG's in the game. But than again, maybe if he got his own team, he would have been just as good, but that we will never know...

NBAfan is talking about talent...not production (stats)...of which Parker DOES fill up a stat sheet with incredible consistency. BTW, he is NOT one step beneath Rose "Right now" lol...

Parker has always had an effective offensive attack and this development of a mid-range shot in the last 3-4 years is a myth. His FG% rose when he started stepping in and taking less 3pointers for the most part.... his jumper HAS improved a bit, but that was simply improving every single year him and Timmy perfecting their 2 man game. Very few PGs would ever be able to run Popivitch's cerebral offensive approach as effortlessly as Parker. Rose is an impressive offensive player but if he were on the Spurs his production would diminish extensively and his mental game would benefit tremendously. If I were starting a team with any PG in the league for the next 3 years...I take Tony Parker Behind CP3...that's it...many factors but TP is my number 2 in the league right now.

No real opinion yet on GS at Memphis but real chance I will be on Memphis. 21-0 trend I mentioned is now 22-0. Apparently spread has a lot to do with it and Player is still checking to see if Memphis is the trend play.
Line has moved to 3.5 and is a play for this trend. Really not happy here but if no change will make very small bet on Memphis. Problem For GS is the back up point guard out is serious loss of scoring power. If he was playing I would certainly play GS here.
