Thanks JB. Yeah, those kinds of numbers are the ones where you clench your butt cheeks once you see a few 3's start to drop... : ) Having said that, a) both teams on B2B and coming off impressive wins, so definite let down spot on offense, b) trends favour the under (Grizzlies 1-5 O/U last 6 vs. Southeast, Bobcats 3-7 O/U last 10 vs. Southwest, 0-4 O/U last 4 H2H in Charlotte), c) two slow paced teams without any real perimeter threats, d) Grizzlies don't get to the line or send opponents to the line much either, so the clock should keep moving and e) if Marc Gasol and Zach Randolph can contain Al Jefferson, this should be golden (don't know the exact number, but seems like Jefferson takes a large percentage of Charlotte's shots these days - 30 of 80 just last night).
I mean, who knows... Maybe the Bobcats smarten up and get some other guys involved, but if the offense flows through Jefferson tonight like it has almost every other night as of late (and Randolph and Gasol for the Grizzlies), there's going to be a lot of time wasted just throwing the ball down low and backing down defenders. And considering how deep each side goes into the shot clock to begin with, just don't think there's going to be enough time to get this into the 90's (especially with Charlotte defending at home to the tune of 45.3 1H PA and going up against that unbelievably painful to watch Grizzlies offense).
Of course, now that I've written all this up, watch them each shoot 60% from the floor and bomb away from 3... LOL. : )
Good luck JB.
