End of the Regular Season Discussion Thread...

There's plenty of intrigue here in the last two weeks of the regular season!

Seeding will be the biggest storyline, and avoiding play-in tournament.

I'd say the East is set for the 10 teams and the West has 11 total in play for now.

The intrigue out in the West involves Minnesota and LA Clippers...

Those two teams sit at 7/8 right now -- not ideal. One, you do not want to have your season perhaps come down to the play-in. More than that, you would like to avoid OKC in the first round.

The Lakers will try and hold onto the 4th seed.

Honestly, seeds 3-8 could shuffle quite a bit.

The Cavs are 4 up on the Celtics for the HCA in the East.

Detroit a few games back on the 4 seed and a few up on the 6 seed.

The play-in teams are pretty much set in the East.

I'll be tracking to see a few things...

1. How Memphis looks after this coaching change
2. Injuries to star players
3. The ole 'momentum' for the post-season

I'll be tracking the Clippers. I have that live RSW of over 47.5 at stake. I need 5-2 to finish the season. I feel optimistic. Why? They play one game vs a true playoff team. Two are against a fading Dallas squad. Also, they want out of that play-in I'd assume. I also like what Spek had to say last week and tailed with a future on them,

More playoff thoughts from me in about 10 days, although I really think this is down to 3 teams right now. Although, anything can happen in the West.

As a 2 or 3 seed don’t think I’d want to see any of the clips warriors or wolves first round

I have a Memphis rsw over 47.5. 9-15 over last 24. And now need 4-3 to get the over. Bunch of bums
I've had a few NBA ones like that over the years.

Irritating, no doubt.

Looking at the schedule, I'm guessing exactly 4-3 to finish.

Weird finish in OKC...

Stons really stayed in this, despite being undermanned.

Huge 1st by OKC... Solid HT lead..

Detroit got this down to 4 twice late in the 4th quarter.
Score was 107-103 with around 3 mins left. OKC scores 12 to Detroit 0 to end the game. Helluva front door cover by the Thunder!

Clippers up near DDs on their Mavs b2b right now.

Huge game for them, and myself (RSW).

Let's finish this!

Cade Cunningham DID come back tonight.

I was surprised but pleasantly in that regard.

I'll do some reading and hopefully come back with positive news on his status after tonight.

25-9-4 in 28 mins.

Bet some futures months ago and have okc to win west and Boston Cleveland to win east at really good # for example have Cleveland +475 to win east.

But recently last few weeks I put $300 on Houston to win West at ave of 50 to 1. Really strange to me. Lakers were behind them in standings yet we're only 6 to 1. Simply no respect. Still 32 to 1.

Plan is to let 1st round series ride and then I will hedge next 2, especially vs okc if they can hang on to #2 seed think they'll have good chance in 1r series vs 7 seed.

Anyway. Was just shocked to see potential 2 seed sitting at 50 to 1 to win West only 2 weeks ago. Worth a unit.

Very nice Mike!

Very common in NBA where an overachiever in regular season is priced well below teams behind them in the standings.

But, this one is pretty drastic.

Good value and GL to ya. .

Thanks Bar. NBA is so tough to beat long term. All i look at is mid season futures. Got all my # at Circa. They kept Cleveland around +500 to win East long after the hot start. And Houston odds to win West are ridiculous imo. But we shall see

Okc and Cleveland playing like shit now. Not sure how much is complacency.

Lakers and GS playing championship level ball right now. Playoffs going to be fun. My goal is to make $5k on my Rockets bet/ hedges. We'll see if the chips fall in place.

in 7 games , the Knicks are 1-6 in 3rd q scoring against the cavs and Celtics . Thibs getting worked in half time adjustments ?

Both conferences are set.

The West seeding is still wild 3-8.

The #2 seed Rockets potentially will be underdogs or close to it for the 1st round.

Still very interested in a Clippers future if 40-45 to 1 depending on the draw. We’ll see what they’re made out of when they visit the hottest team in the league on Sunday in a must win for both. If Clippers lose - we get a matchup against a reeling Grizzlies team at home in the play in.

If Timberwolves, Clippers and Nuggets win…

  • (3) Lakers vs. (6) Timberwolves
  • (4) Nuggets vs. (5) Clippers
  • Play-In: (7) Warriors vs. (8) Grizzlies

Only game that seems to matter will be the Clippers Warriors game if the chalk win the big spreads SU elsewhere with teams resting.

Clippers would be way better off going through the 7 or 8 seed than the 4/5 vs 1 in 2nd round. Leonard didn’t play in those games where Nuggets bombed them but they weren’t competitive in Denver both times. With that said they’ve recently lost a play in game a few years ago so maybe there’s a lot of motivation to avoid that. I think they’re better then Warriors but Warriors hottest team in the league since getting Butler or close to it.

Clippers are somehow 50/1 on Fan Duel right now.

I don’t think Leonard has lost a playoff series on the court since the Spurs Heat meltdown in Game 6

Warriors were on fire from 3 and still lost at home to Clippers.

Leonard who is still the best player in the league when healthy was +17
