Drake Maye or Caleb Williams as your Guy

I think these two are the future studs, maybe you would start with Nix, Daniels, Dart, Purdy… But I’ve seen things from Caleb this season under the correct leadership and play calls, that convince me he’s the guy I would start my squad with.

I said before the draft that year (documented many times here) that Drake Maye was the best QB of the bunch.

I still believe that.

Caleb has gotten better and better as he's went along.
Both will be long time starters.

Both have flaws.

I would still take Drake 1st though.

Good stuff BAR.. Maye’s season was incredible, off the charts. MVP standards for me.Which is astonishing for 2nd year. Ho brah! Williams’ rookie season under that clowntown regime and offensive line was looking like good old Chicago, where QB’s go to die. This year was absolutely a hairpin turn and BJ deserves coach of the year consideration.

I’m aware of Caleb’s flaws but curious what you see in Maye? Thanks for popping in and bringing the statistics…Maye completion % is unreal !

It's Drake Maye for me.

Caleb has the spectacular no doubt and he's made some throws that only a few humans could make. Some of the stuff on the field is undeniable, however for my franchise QB I like them to be a little boring maybe for lack of better terms. Drake seems to be levelheaded and doesn't get too high or too low. That's very hard to do in a competitive environment and is (for those who have it) a very valuable skill. They both have size, are athletic, have arm talent, can throw a ball in bad weather without a problem, etc. Drake's accuracy is obviously a big advantage and in addition to that I love what I'm seeing in his intangibles. For my taste I don't want to be able to tell if he's thrown 4 TDs or 4 picks.

Coming from a Redskin fan, if we could redo the '24 draft I'm sure the Bears would still take Caleb and I'd rather have Maye than Daniels if I'm being honest.

I think scheme and culture matter. I think Maye and Williams are exactly where they need to be with the perfect coach/coordinators for them.

I chose WIlliams in the poll but I think they are both massively talented.

Caleb has the ability to make plays on the run and outside the pocket, kind of like Maholms. Maye not as much.
