Tomlin doesn't get a pass either.
Yes, hanging on to Ben those last two years was stupid but that's on the coaches and front offices. They never even thought about a replacement until it was too late.

He wanted Ben gone two years before those last two years. I'm damn near convinced he just figured he was along for the ride after not being allowed to make a tactical change that would be controversial. And why not? Given the job security I'm comfortable saying he coasted for 15 years and just shrugged his shoulders after they wouldn't let go of Ben. Even listening to him on the Manning cast he sounded like someone I'd never take seriously. RoboBen.

Ben made it difficult - still on them. Was it Landry jones they drafted and he had a tantrum? Or was it Rudolph?

Rudolph for sure. But I doubt he was a Landry fan either.

My wife's girlfriends are asking me if McCarthy was any good in Dallas. I can't stop smiling.
 
@~Utah, thoughts on McCarthy's staff so far? I think he's putting together a sneaky good group. I really like the addition of Evans for the OL which has been bad for quite some time. It appears he's working on getting Tolzien for the QB's as well. He did a great job with Shough last year. Your thoughts on those two @twinkie13 ?

definitely positive feelings so far - at least for me, it seems like its a great start. Graham has a great resume and a great reputation. Tolzien seems like an up and comer. Maybe he can put in that work with Will Howard

Wish Howard would have gotten his crack this season. Think he has a chance to be decent starter in this league ..But predicting later round QBs is like rolling 6 , 24 sided dice

He was injured in training camp. Didn't even get to see him in pre season. He could turn out good or he could be horrible. Time will tell, ha!
 
Looks like OC will be the Vikings TE coach - Brian Angelichio.

Brian also coached at Pitt and with McCarthy at GB, which appears to be a common denominator for all hires so far

Another year of Rodgers is likely more time in purgatory - so no not really

I wouldn’t be opposed to giving will howard a shot and having Rudolph as a back up

If it doesn’t work out - draft a QB next year which worked the last time we had a losing record and we got the infamous franchise killer - Ben
