i agree! this team has been critized and doubted from day one of the last off-season. they received bad grades for their draft (chris johnson=bust, no help at wr and defensive end, etc) and their free-agents from all media-"experts". when white, johnson and the defense started show up the team was doubted because of no weapons on wr and everyone expected collins to struggle in the long run. but 17 weeks later this team has the best record and is playing at home against a team they already defeated on the road.

i have a ton of respect for baltimore, their defense and the job flacco has done in his first year but these titans are for real and it will be tough for the ravens to come to nashville an win this one.

Definetly not watching or reading ESPN. The Titans are "winners" but I think all things considered they are equal to SD but the difference is Tenny knows how to snatch a win from the clutches of defeat.....

Like I have said their are no great teams in the NFL and I think BALT has a ton of flaws..

Final Thoughts :
In the early game this is a huge we hate eachother rivalry in the realest sense . Balt lose the 1st time in a tough one to swallow but this one means so much more and they are a better team not sure Tenny is any better then the 1st meeting . Balt has the rising ox McClain at RB now and much different Flacco who was on a short leash early . Situational HUGE edge to the home team but could be overmagnified . Ravens havent had a week off in a long awhile thanks to the Texans game being postponed but they did have SAT game in the 2nd to last week and came home and rested the 2nd H of the Jags game so at least they didnt have that much going on before the playoffs because they are on short rest here . They have shown issues in the 4th Quarter sealing games so if fatigue does present itself that could be a scary issue . Big thing is Tenny's schedule and they are getting a favorable one here with Balt as well thanks to the short rest but now I just see Balt as the better team . You losing your starting center on a run heavy team facing that insane Balt DL line and it has to show IMO. Haynesworth is probably fine the typical freak of nature but I am skeptical though and want to see it. KVB rusty maybe and Ball OUT ?? Think the Ravens and really both teams can be thrown on seeing Nick Harper reaggravate an injury wouldnt be so bad with their depth in the secondary . Personally I just dont like the Titans season when I look at it . Only bad games Balt played in 5 losses were the one @ Indy which followed the heartbeaker vs Tenny and I do believe 100% they showed up flat that day and also @ NYG but that game is ectremely misleading IMO. Balt 3 straight away and off 2 SU wins they simply had some mistakes that were untimely and things bounced NYG way more and more . A tad better execution and that game was much closer and probably down to the wire IMO....Truthfully think both defenses are overrated as Balt's clearly starts out great and slowly fades and Tenny has the competition issue , injury issue , and depth issue in the secondary . Not saying they are not great but they are not perfect like they seemed to have been dubbed...Close game and think it works out better for next week if Tenny wins . So my guess is the TITANS win by 1 POINT ...I am seriously cutting it that close....with the middle attempt essentialy 280 type play on Balt +3.5

The game @ Carolina the toughest game all season the Panthers faced at home was the earlier Zona game . The travle thing is largely MYTH IMO as they played well @ Car , @ Wash , and the Jets game was execution realted miscues on offense flipped momentum in the 2nd Q and it got crazy , late in the year @ NE and @ Philly under the context they met were very tough situations and Zona was slumping badly at that point .....

Would say Zona +10 or better and Over 34 Balt are my two favorite plays with Balt coming in somewhat behind them....

HOME FIELD EDGE?
LYR - Divisional ROUND Home teams were 2-2 SU and 1-3 ATS - GB won and covered in the snow -9 , NE won but failed as -13 , NYG won SU @ DAL catching a TD and SD won SU @ Indy catching +11....

06 season - Colts win SU @ Balt catching 4 , Eagles cover @ NO +6 but lose , Hawks covered @ Bears anywhere from +7 to +4 but lose by 3 , NE wins @ SD catching 5 ....Home teams 2-2 SU and 0-4 ATS

05 season - Hawks win by 10 cover 9.5 vs Skins , Den wins big agains NE covering the -3 ( was a rematch of late season game where NE won @ Denver ) , Pitt wins as DD dogs SU @ Indy , Panthers win SU at Chi catching +2.5 / +3 ...Home teams 2-2 SU 2-2 ATS....

So 6-6 SU last 3 seasons and 3-9 ATS with 1 ATS win by the hook ...so wise dog players at 10 or 10.5 could have won or pushed...

Nearly every game was at least split action and most technically dogs were better then 50% of the action .....

Tenny definetly hurt by having just 1 playmaker in Chris Johnson on offense as everyone else is a role player . I would have glady taken the over rather then Balt . That had to be one of the most painful games to watch as a fan. I think if it was anyone but Balt they still win it was as if the "universe" needed to make things right and have Balt win after the 1st meeting ( I think even a Tenny fan would admit the penalty on Collins was a phantom call in that 4th Quarter ) ..just insane .. Chris Johnson looked great and that was definetly the key absence..Kinda pissed I didnt pound that Collins over 179yds prop ...just insane...by no means did Balt deserve to win that game but the fumble before half was the icing on the cake I thought ...sorry bro...

At least I can hang my hat on one thing today and that is the MEDIA BULLSHIT that Arizona cant play on the EAST COAST ...Like Moose Johnston said in pregame the way people talk about this game why did Arizona even bother to show up ...

Crazy events though after the TIE the Panthers had a fumble , Int , essentially a 3 out , Int , essentially a 3 and out ...both times ran 4 plays becaus eof penalties though..

Panthers hurt because this really takes the run game out of the equation especially with ZONA getting the ball ....

As good as it looks at half Zona didnt play a perfect 1st H either . They fucked up the 1st drive on the 26 of Carolina go -1, -5 and -7 to lose the FG attempt worst case , they had 3rd and 4 at the Car 31 which they didnt get but kicked the FG , they had a 3rd and 1 at the Car 13 they didnt get because Warner tripped but kicked the FG , and while it was a stretch they drove to about the 36 of Car and just missed a long 53 yd FG.....So could be alot worse .....

That was a tough game today and Balt was pretty banged up. If Pgh does win tomorrow, it will be very tough on Balt to have to play Pgh in Pgh again, both physically and mentally.

At NYG this is what stands out first Philly's offense on the road vs the overall play of the Giants . Cant argue that NY struggled in Dec but it was also 11-1 at that point and going through the Plax gun incident plus had injuries start piling up . All while going 15-1 in its previous 16 games and having to face Philly , @ Dallas , Carolina and @ Minny which was 4 of the 5 top NFC teams which 3 were fighting for the playoffs and the other Carolina was the hottest team in the NFC . Philly still was very unimpressive on offense . They had 2 TDs all day despite good field position most of it . Havent seen it but supposedly an obvious HOLD that wasnt called on Westbrooks long TD to ice the game sort of like the play clock expiring at Tenny and not getting called today . The other TD was a PICK 6 a Minnesota Viking speciality . They also had a big punt return from Jackson which Minny is terrible in ST coverage . Still they are just 4-4-1 away with the good wins being @ NYG in the rematch and last week @ Minny otherwise 2 wins out West vs slumping SF and SEA teams plus the 13-13 tie @ Cincy . The Cowboys beat them early on and IMO the only reason the game was close was because Romo handed then a quick 14 points when the game could have been ripped open , the Ravens game was back and forth but a bad INT and Eagles never recovered and never moved the ball , they were also losers @ Wash late and @ Chi early but minus Westbrook . 6 NYG wins before the Eagle loss ?? @ Pitt , vs Dallas minus Romo , @ Philly , vs Balt , @ Arizona and @ Wash ...so NYG played poorly vs Philly they were 11-1 and if they executed some plays may have turned out differently , next game @ Dallas well didnt NYG beat them already and didnt Dal have some measure of revenge vs NYG for knocking them out of the playoffs @ Dallas last year ...??

Akers has long standing issues @ the Meadowlands and was even blocked twice in the recent meeting which one was returned for a TD . Career just 11/22 on FG attempts but before hitting a 51 yder last meeting he was just 3/11 from beyond 35 yards . An offense that settles for FGs with a kicker who struggles to make them @ NY ...

Westbrook banged up already had to play on the Vikings turf . Sounds like that would be a bigger negative then we realize .

McNabb last 3 week shas just 6 completions of 20+ and half went to the RB's. Outside of the Zona game just 4 RED ZONE receptions in the previous 7 games . Now NY has failed to sack McNabb this season but with Andrews already missing a few weeks and Runyan ailing is this the game he is pressured ? Spagnolo coaching to impress future bosses ?? In 2 games Eagles just 4/10 in the red zone ...(0/3 in the win)

Brandon Jacobs missed 3 of the last 6 games but played vs Carolina ...22c 126 yds @ Philly , Ward 17c 53 yds avg nearly 10 yards a touch past few weeks , Bradshaw 5c 38yds and thought Minny showed you can run on Eagles .In the rematch Jacobs 10c 52 yds so 32c 178 yds this season , Ward 8c 39yds and Bradshaw 5c 9yds ...Westbrook 32c 133yds but a 30 yd run and 13c 26yds the other for 45c 159yds and 44c 129 yds less then 3YPC minus his 30 yd TD run .....

NYG has the BYE while Philly has basically played a MUST WIN every week since Thanksgiving ... which was probably NYG's last real meaningful game until Carolina got HOT ...Also like that NYG has so many guys who can make a play bewteen Boss at TE , the WRs of Toomer who had a monster playoff run last year, Smith and Hixon , the RB stable of Jacobs , Ward and even Bradshaw while Philly leans heavily IMO on Jackson and Westbrook with some help from Curtis , Avant and maybe Buckhalter ...LJ Smith could play but very limited ...

McNabb - medicore away and in the colder weather games while Eli very solid at home and in day games...

Pitt vs SD:

The big issue here is Big Ben's head . Some report he had headaches after putting on his normal helmut earlier this week because his head was swollen. So clearly a concern but if your Pitt why risk him if he didnt look good ? Leftwich has been fine in relief IMO . So I have to think a tough kid like Roethsilberger will be okay as long as he stays away from any jolting hits .

Good Thing is as I have knocked this Pitt offense many a time the best game they played was very SD a few weeks back ..they ran for well over a 100 and Big Ben had 300+ yds passing done in by struggling in the red zone and also PENALTIES !

SD has to fly cross country AGAIN after a rough and draining win at home . LT is out and Gates seems to be struggling to stay healthy . Vincent Jackson got the DUI and well he was MIA last week anyway . Thats there offense run the ball and hit Jackson deep or vice versa ...Sproles was gassed last week and the kid has heart but this is an entirely different defense . Look for Pitt to establish the run to keep some pressure off Big ben and for that defense to be its usual insane animal self....

So not only the travel for like the 5th time already they also only have road wins pulled out by huge 4th Q comebacks and cold ass weather . DOnt see a DD comeback vs the Pitt defense in the 4th Quarter do you ?

This of course does not include the horrible call at the end which caused the ATS loss for Pitt. I think Pitt rolls today. SD is out of juice and Pitt will have the refs on their side. BOL.

Thanks Joe . No worries . I knew full well the Giants were marginal and while I got overinvested with them when I should have left well enough alone...

I pissed away a ton of profits so far down the drain but hey still ahead nicely . More happy about being 6-2 ATS then anything else (Eagles 0-2 everyone else 6-0) . Terrible on totals yesterday ...Cant win them all but the last SD TD hurt a winning weekend..:cheers:
