Derby 2025

Might be a good omen for Journalism with his connections winning that one.

He's been on today

Fortunate that Twinspires refunds $10 on win bets if the horse hits the board. I did play w/p so got something out of it plus a refund
Does he post them on X? I just saw it on USA. I won't have TV access tomorrow.

I've just been watching on USA but I know his picks for Oaks and Derby were on twinspire. They post blurbs by him on the big days usually.
I'll have to dig to see if I can find them. Thanks!

I liked the 10 but she missed training the last couple of weeks. Good Cheer has done nothing wrong. I think it's her or Simply Joking, maybe Quietside. Don't like Baffert at all

Well that was uneventful for a trainer I'm not much a fan of

Probably not a good sign for chalk tomorrow now which blows

I absolutely hate the 1st two races on the card today. Usually we have better maidens running on these days because the big trainers want to get there owners a win on a big stage. Certainly not the case in the 1st race.

I bet #12 Chillax last time. Look like he had the race won at 21-1 then hung the last 16th of a mile. Got a decent Beyer for the level. But he looks like he'll lose a ton of ground around that 1st turn. I don't know if I could bet him back at 4-1 or 9/2 today.

I know the VP of Spendthrift Farm, they don't have any horses running today. They almost always have one or one that they have some investment in.

The 12 may not be better than the 3, who was compromised by a wide post last time. I don't really like the 3.

I guess I'll take #8 Sansone (6-1). It looks like he probably has the most upside. He lost to Fort Sam last time who came back to win here at Churchill on Opening Day. He should appreciate the distance and looks like he should be in front alongside the 9. I just wish he was inside the 9.

The 9 is ok. I just don't like backing maidens who are now attempting to still break their maiden in start #10.

The 11 figures, just don't like the wide draw.

The 2nd race looks pretty weak for the level. I'm trying to beat the Ohio bread flash #10 Generous Lover. But I just don't like anybody.

Rain all day at CD. Who likes the slop?

2 Neo is the only horse with a win in sloppy track.

Coal Battle 2 for 2 on wet tracks.

The connections for Flying Mohawk have been praying for rain since they qualified.

American Promise broke maiden on mud at Oaklawn. Publisher ran 3rd.

Luxor Cafe shows 3 wins and 1 2nd on off going. But I'm not sure he's run on anything like it'll be today.

Publisher 1 2nd and 1 3rd on muddy/sloppy tracks. But those were maiden races.

Coal Battle is 2 for 2 on muddy/sloppy tracks. Mud should help. But honestly I think he looks like a horse that has peaked and won't get the distance.

Nobody else has run on an off going.

I had no problem laying 5/2 on Journalism on a fast track, but on a sloppy track with 18 other horses, it gives me some concern.

Bingo ...No way id bet him at anything less than 6-1 in the slop ...Still using him on top and in 2nd in some tri tickets , but why bother betting him to win ??

I'll be using coal battle in the multi leg wagers with the 13,14

In all honesty I hope he wins. Love the story, have a small future on him. Just seems like the last furlong will get him. But the mud could be the equalizer.

He's a smaller horse, reminds me of Mine That Bird. He could definitely be the winner because of the track.

Owen Almighty, Sandman, and Citzen Bull have the 3 highest Tomlinson wet numbers if anyone cares about those.

One or the better cappers I know here ( which means nothing ) has longshot futures on citizen bull was praying for Rain/slop ....

Often bet story lines in these massive field monster stakes races .

Coal Battle would make for great TV the next few weeks
