December 2015

So instead of a push on the 2H total, the Lakers get the ball back because the Grizzlies can't get the ball into the frontcourt? Now I've seen everything...

*Much like Markieff Morris, I'll throw in the towel at some point as this just isn't fun anymore but, for the time being, I'll keep trudging along. Anyways, Wiz seem like such a sucker bet, but the Clippers got their anamolous win the other night in Salt Lake, so provided those stats I saw on ESPN the other night about LA with and without Blake Griffin hold true, think the trip out East might be enough to do them in tonight. Miami's covered five straight against Brooklyn, so with both the Nets offense and defense as hapless as they are right now, the only thing stopping the Heat from covering should be the Heat. The Spurs held the T-Wolves to 83 the other night on 41.7% shooting at Target, so don't see why the story should be any different at AT&T where the Spurs have been playing shut down D all season long. As for the Sixers, actually surprised to see their team total as high as it is (would've figured 89 or so) especially with Okafor out, but I guess that has as much to do with some key pieces on defense being out for Utah. Either way, don't think anyone really expects the Sixers to compete for a second game in a row (that Suns team has officially quit on Hornacek, and it showed). Plus, with the pace the Jazz tend to play at home (slowest in the league at 92.1), we're probably talking the Sixers needing to shoot close to 50% in order to stay in this one, and don't think that's going to happen.
