And, yeah, I know all about Charlotte's supposedly good defense this season, but like I've said all along, most of that's been done against the slower paced, lower scoring teams of the East. Good luck to Josh McRoberts and Jeffery Taylor trying to contain the likes of DeMarcus Cousins, Rudy Yag, Jason Thompson and Derrick Williams for a full 48 minutes...

*I wouldn't put too much stock into the Bulls offensive numbers last night - the Rockets sucked them into running and Houston offered little resistance at the defensive end. With the Bulls averaging 40.2 1H points their last 5 (which was actually 39 point something before last night) and the Thunder holding opponents to 45.0 1H points their last 5, I'd be pretty surprised if Chicago manages to break this number two nights in a row.

Thanks tuck. Admittedly, I have a bit of an anti Raptor bias, but to expect them to go into OKC and keep it close seems a little absurd. The Raptors have looked better since the Rudy Yag deal, but that's been mostly against sub .500 teams. Plus, the last 3 times Toronto's played the Thunder, it hasn't even really been close (91-75, 108-88, 104-92), and all three leading scorers from those games aren't even on the team anymore (Bargnani, Calderon and Anderson).

I capped it at 112-96 Thunder, so let's see how close I get.

*Well, not much point in dwelling on what's happened the past few nights as this seems to be a recurring trend since I joined CTG, only that if/when this loses, I'll start again with a clean slate some time in the New Year (hence the 2.06). As for the wager itself, the Warriors have put up 1H totals of 55, 59 and 55 the last three meetings, and I doubt that changes against a Cavaliers team that's been getting buried at the defensive end to start games as of late (average of 54.8 their last 5). None of their interior defenders are quick enough to deal (I don't think, anyways) with the likes of Andre Igoudala and David Lee, and playing back to back against the likes of Steph Curry and Klay Thompson isn't going to do the guys on the outside much good either. As always, with the anticipated pace of the game, it might only take something in the 45% range to get this done, so let's hope the Warriors make their 3's against one of the worst perimeter defenses in the league and take it from there.
