Conference Championship Week - Discussion

Would be quite a letdown to not have UTSA and BYU meat up in a bowl game

Probably would be my favorite of the season but they have to win tonight

I have to comment on the Western Kentucky - UTSA line. Game at UTSA. WKU -1 / -1.5 now.

WKU was -3 at home vs UTSA on 10/9 and UTSA beat them 52-46.

So what has changed? It does seem like UTSA peaked in October. Then the Southern Miss game, then the UAB game where they pulled an absolute rabbit out of their hat and then the North Texas game. Bad trend. Can they rekindle their best?

WKU has chugged along, has the D really improved...or did they just benefit from some poor CUSA opponents down the stretch?

i think it a little of both when it comes to wku d, obviously they have benefited from playing conf usa scrubs but i do think the d has improved some, the reason im willing to say it not all just weaker comp is because in the past few years before bringing the entire houston baptist offense over their strength was d, they have the same head coach and many the same guys on that side the ball so yea the numbers inflated thanks to playing scrubs but i still believe the d has improved as ive seen them play decent d in previous seasons before being awful at beginning of this year when they tested themselves against several power 5 teams while utsa wasnt. i love wku, have most the year, i played them early, not sure i would lay the -3.5 now but i think they win. i am gonna play the tt over 37.5 today in case they do lose another shootout. to answer your question tho i do think things have changed a bit since that game and not like utsa dominated it was basically a toss up. i couldnt fault anyone for taking +3.5 but i think wku wins.

Amount of disrespect for UTSA with this line movement (70% tickets on WKU) I seriously hope these guys come out and curb stomp the Hilltoppers. Give me the Roadrunners' B game against WKU A game all day.

Makes some sense thinking back to who typically the conference champs are
Yep. Clemson 6-0. Alabama 5-0 or 6-0 (depending on whether "since 2014" includes 2014). Oklahoma 3-0. Ohio State 3-0.

What I see in UTSA is a team that clinched the division a long time ago and got bored. We should see a different team this week.

Could be that, could be the letdown expectations after losing last week

I just think they'll go balls to the walls to prove this wasn't some fluke season (it was far from that) and the better team will look better on the scoreboard

It's not a letdown spot. Teams that lost their first game in game 12 are 3-0 ATS in conference championships, I believe.

I have no reason to believe they are in any kind of letdown. A bowl game against presumably BYU would be massive for that program especially with BYU sweeping the Pac12 and moving on up.

funny, i think wku wins every time with both A games.

Not like I don't know you do given the essay, I'm comfy with my assessment

i think it pretty much comes down to which team ya have been riding with and cashing most the year, i know lot of you guys were on the utsa bandwagon, i was a lot better with wku. certainly dont think it was random squares that drove this line if ya look when it went up during the week, some kind of respected money has to like wku for the line to have done that i would imagine, certainly dont mean it right but dont hurt my feelings since i took it early (for no other reason than i wasnt sure i would get back to casino this week before game, dumb luck, lol).. prob smarter to play whichever side you like team total over since either team could lose and that still cash.

Always in tournament stuff to play, square babble is dumb. Everyone knows what they're playing with now

Try fading public wagers in the first two rounds of March Madness and enjoy withdrawing cash

im shocked wku is popular, crazy how ppl overreact to one week, of course around forum world i dont see a overwhelming majority playing wku, sbr pick 6 contest is damn near 50-50, 1 more play for utsa than wku at moment.

UTSA did not clinch their division until 11/20. Two weeks ago, not "long ago".

I think both teams are good with strong assets within each team. Game should be good. Game could go either way.

Traylor was 2-1 SU and ATS as home dog last year.

5 straight covers, 7 straight wins, with a team that scores in bunches vs a team that might've lost some steam. I get it.
