Weird game. Clemson off that terrible loss, but still they should win this game by 20+ on paper. Line not moving at all despite seemingly everyone on Clemson. Add the taj rumors, while probably BS, this is the second straight week with a weird line movement or lack thereof.

Anybody have any reason why Clemson doesnt blow out UMD?

only reason i ask is because, how much validity/stock do you put into those numbers? are those numbers purely based on vegas? or does that include offshore..do all books give their total bets taken to these sites? these are the questions that come up..as for me with this game, ill take clemson off a loss and the terps dealing with injuries and losing some key players :shake:

oh i gotcha....i take SOME stock into those numbers but not a ton. i think those numbers represent the amount of bets they are getting but not the money. for example, they could list clemson at 70% and md at 30% but the 70% on clemson are the public betting 25-100 a pop while the 30% on clemson are the sharps betting multiple g's.

no, i'm just asking question, the only reason i'm skeptical towards those numbers is that for places like sports insights and don best to provide those percentages it would need the coooperation of offshore and vegas to give them that data for an accurate number that's all i'm saying

The only reason to back Maryland is to bet that Clemson won't have their heads in the game, which I think is a very real possibility. Maryland coming off a loss to Wake, but it wasn't nearly as devastating as what happened to Clemson last Saturday. I'm on Maryland because I don't think Clemson has the right mindset to turn around and focus on the next game. Maybe they do, but it's Thursday, and they're still getting questions about the FSU game. Just don't think they get it together in time and wouldn't surprise me if they lost. That said, if they get up, I could see Dabo trying to run it up so they can show people that they aren't as far behind FSU as they looked on Saturday. Good luck whichever way you go

Impossible to know where Clemson is mentally right now IMO. And with their leader being Dabo......If I had the balls, I would be on the Terps.

This. Plus it moved past a key number. I'm also on Clemson but got in at -13.5. I think the football field is exactly where Clemson needs to be to get past the FSU beatdown. Don't expect them to come out firing but Terps are way to beat up to put up much of a fight.

The only way I could see backing MD here is it's a bad spot for Clemson and the hangover factor from Florida State. They lose 1000+ yards of production with Diggs/Long shelved and they don't have the horses to hang with Clemson if the Tigers show up at all.

Md not a very good team at all. Not sure they had any business breaking the top 25 this season, and with the injuries its tough to see them staying competitive on Saturday.
