CFP: Notre Dame vs Alabama Discussion

If that is ND on a neutral against a good team the other night, then it won’t be good enough. Alabama’s defense isn’t one of their best nearly at all, but doesn’t need to be the way they score.
 
It may not matter in this game, but the loss of Landon Dickerson is massive. These injuries heading into the postseason are getting annoying.

Plug in the next 5*. Of course talent will only go so far. The very same Landon Dickerson couldn’t stop a nose bleed 3 years ago, so AL o-line coaching is top notch.

I think it goes beyond the physical aspect of the job. Chris Owens was the starting C last year when Dickerson played G, so he has experience. But LD is basically the heart and soul of the team. You could see how much everyone likes him by the way they reacted after the injury. And the fact that he was named permanent team captain as a transfer says a lot too. The OL is what has made the offense so special, I don't like to see it diminished in any way. Because we certainly can't count on our defense to win a championship
