Get well game for the dismal Rutgers defense.

Shiano kinda game
Exactly. Rutgers doesn't lack the athletes but they were so disorganized vs OU. Welp, Redhawks O with Dequan Finn is nothing like Navarro and OU. And they have Schiano's and the co-DCs' undivided attention. Also, Martin for MU is known to hold back when it comes to payday games and save his guys' health for MAC play, lotta 3s and 6s in past similar matchups with B1G teams/as big dogs. Will probably check out some alt TT unders too (13' is +150, 9' is +340, 6' is +600).

Biff BOL - Esp on the big one. You have more confidence in Rutg D than I do.
Thanks Timh. You raise a very fair point, and one I had to spend some time pondering. In some ways, this is more a fade of MU's O than backing Rutgers' D. First, skill set-wise, D Finn has some similarities to P Navarro (mobile QB) but he's not nearly as accurate and doesn't have the skill position pieces that OU does (MU's entire offense is new and doesn't have the experience playing together that Navarro and his guys do). They only managed 117 yards and 0-9 3rd downs against a Wisconsin defense that I don't rate as better than Rutgers, and it's not as if Wisky's offense just held the ball all game. Second, Chuck Martin doesn't exactly go all-in in these paycheck games against P4 teams and often has more an eye on getting to conference play healthy. Third, last week was the first game for Rutgers under new co-DCs. After that performance, I can only imagine what defensive film sessions and practice were like. I'd expect them to be extra-focused, particularly on not letting Finn hurt them with his legs like Navarro did. I really don't see MU getting double digits much less 17, but I've been wrong many many times before. BOL this weekend, always love your threads!

Great points Biff, I was impressed with Rutg offense last week and I think you make a really good point on Martin focusing more on MAC. I have joined the party, BOL.

Got burned on the big pick backing Rutgers D. Oh well - at least I got good CLV on the numbers lolz? Wins were relatively easy and fun watches (Dan Lanning off an angry presser might be a 5* angle and damn was that Cowbell outright W a blast) and losses were generally bad picks (no bad beats) so not feeling too smart but zero complaints.
