Thanks fellas, GL on the bowls and Happy Holidays.

Quick hits from Arizona’s post-practice media availability Wednesday evening:

  • It appears leading rusher Nick Wilson won’t play in the New Mexico Bowl on Saturday, as Wildcats coach Rich Rodriguez all but declared him out. “It doesn’t look very good for him for Saturday,” Rodriguez said. The official injury report is expected to be released Thursday. Senior Jared Baker likely will get the bulk of the work. QB Anu Solomon suggested slot receiver/return specialist Tyrell Johnson also could get some carries.

read some good stuff om Terps new OC this morning...I like what I have read overall so far....Hope U are happy with happenings
Go Terps

Thanks Blood and yes I am thrilled that they finally appear to have gotten a decent coach in there. He is putting together a very nice staff.

Akron/Utah State under 47.5 -103 1*

Nice job with Akron/utahstate and temple/toledo Timh. Looking at your games and what i saw with my own eyes from the games played so far .... I think you were on the right side of every single play you made that have been played so far.

Kyle thanks appreciate that. I share some of your frustration with the bowls so far (read your comment about same). The Utah game was just a bunch of fluke TO, no way to handicap that really and obviously without them Utah doesn't sniff that amount of points. WKY was a little frustrating because of their slow start in that game, but they did a great job getting their offense together in the 2H. I really enjoyed that game overall, and have to say I have a little soft spot in my heart for WK. I like the way they are coached and they really competed hard all year long. BOL on the bowls and Merry X-mas to you.

I also love wky. i will be cheering for Doughty at the next level

Dwight I agree, should be a physical mismatch on the LOS. Washington has a ways to go with their pass offense development and qb development, but they are very solid on both lines and their running game should pound So. Miss.

Add another .5 unit on Wash.

Coach Beamer insinuated that VT would play better D in the 2nd....but I still think Over
I just hope Beamer goes out a Winner

GL buddy

Sigh VT played suuuuuper slow 2h and the fumble through the back of the EZ was ultimately our demise.

gl the rest of the way

I assume you were about to shit yourself as I was when Petersen kicked a freaking field goal at the end of the game?! Wow! That Washington play was much more of a sweat it out finish than it should have been.

Any thoughts on the Texas Tech/LSU total?

I was furious. I joked with a friend on aim that they would punch it in, miss the extra pt and then usm would score a td and make a two pt conversion. He called me a sicko. Then something more unlikely almost happened. That was a brutal decision by peterson.

I am more interested in LSU side play than the total. I think the total is a little tricky there as LSU should absolutely pound them on the ground with Fournette. TT def is so bad and I think a lot of it depends on how quickly LSU can score, or if they sustain longer drives.

Nice job with Washington, Tim. I know you get to watch quite a bit of Navy football, and was hoping to see you laying the points with the Middies. Is there something in particular keeping you off them? Their pass D, maybe? With Niumatalolo staying put, the Reynolds send-off and this being a home game, I'm hard-pressed not to lay a juiced 3 here. Would appreciate any thoughts you may have. GL the rest of the way...

Grind, I really like this Navy team and quite frankly probably a little biased towards them because I have so much respect for their program. My first thought here is that even though Pitt beat GT earlier 31-28 they gave up 376 yds rush on 40 carries for a 9.4 ypc. Doesn't bode well for them necessarily having success stopping option teams. These teams are both pretty slow pace teams (Pitt is 3 ranked in opponent plays against yielding only 63.6 plays/gm) so the possessions will be valued and I think Navy can grind out some long drives. Navy has an amazing +17 to ratio and lead the nation in TO ratio/gm at +1.5 which is amazing considering they run the triple option. Pitt is only +2 on the year in TO ratio. Navy also has a very impressive .521 points/play number which ranks 10th overall. The Navy pass defense is of some concern and probably a little over emphasized as most people seem to remember the Houston game as the most recent example. I took a look at the 4 best pass offenses they faced and compared YPA avg for the teams and what Navy gave up when facing them. Tulsa 8.8/7.5, Memphis 9.1/7.3, Houston 8.2/9.4 and ND 8.9/9.1. So in reality the only gm that really looks bad is the Houston game. I'm not overly impressed with Peterman at QB and I do agree that Tyler Boyd has had a great year (85/873/10.3/6 td) but the Pitt offense is only #71 in YPP overall. I think Navy will be well prepared and they do want to go out a winner in Reynold's last game and what better place to do it than Annapolis. I think the game is going to be fairly close though but have Navy by 6 (30-24) and will make a regular sized play on Navy -3.

Navy -3 +100 1.5*

Thanks for sharing, Tim -- appreciate the solid analysis. I remember you being on Navy vs Houston (stalked you frequently throughout CFB season; thank you for the winners), so was curious if that game was in the back of your head a bit. Good to know that it's not. Well, I'm hopping on 1H and full-game, and looks like I'll be getting a cheaper price on FG for waiting. GL to us

BOL Timmy!! I like the rest of them. If I was a totals player ID be on all of the same unders you are on, and I'm with you on Dak and company.
