UCF coach George O'Leary: Why hasn't Akron, Terry Bowden sent depth chart?

UCF coach George O'Leary seemed a bit annoyed Wednesday morning when he mentioned how his season-opening opponent -- Akron -- had not yet sent him a depth chart leading up to Thursday's season-opener of the college football season.


According to O'Leary, coaches from opposing schools have a gentlemen's agreement concerning depth charge information. Akron is coached by former Auburn coach and Orlando resident Terry Bowden.


"We still don't have their depth chart," O'Leary said early Wednesday morning on our Open Mike radio show. "I don't know what they're hiding. ... We have no idea who's playing (for them)."


When asked if Akron's coaching staff has his depth chart, O'Leary replied with a laugh: "Oh no, they're not getting mine until I get theirs."


Later Wednesday morning, the Knights finally did receive Akron's depth chart -- a day before Thursday's night opener at UCF's Bright House Networks Stadium.


Is having the other team's depth chart really a big deal? Not really.


But it certainly adds a little intrigue to a season-opener against a team that has won only one game in each of the last three seasons
