a few late tack on "too win" bets

Ian Poulter 50-1 (20/1020). The "Poulter-geist" playing pretty well this season both PGA and Euro Tour. WON Houston Open
Byeong-Hun An 250-1 (5/1255) found @ Cantor Gaming. he is 125-1 every other Las Vegas sportbook. came "wicked close" T-2nd @ Memorial [-15]
Matthew Southgate 200-1 (5/1005) made the cut both Irish & Scottish and T-5th Open de France [-5]. goes off Thursday with the 2nd tee time
Ross Fisher 150-1 (7/1057) "The Fish" generally a very good links player. got 2nd in Alfred Dunhill Links last year and shot a St Andrews tourney record final round 61 doing it. he is also an early Thursday tee time

Ho BOY. in trouble already after the 1st round. watching the early groups I can NOT believe that Kevin Kisner leading with a [-5]. the guy was just draining EVERY putt. seems like the ONLY player that can figure out these SLOW greens. the guy had done NOTHING this season before this week. couple of my "cats & dogs" played well. Eric Van Rooyen [-4] and would have tied Kisner BUT bogied #18 and last weeks winner in Scotland Brandon Stone with a [-3]. he looked like he was gonna shoot "wicked low" again on the front side with [-3] thru #8 but backed off on the back with one birdie & one bogie after that

looking at the course I thought someone was gonna shoot really low with the burned out fairways and rough and almost NO wind but I guess it is just "Open pressure". only 7 golfers [-3] or better. big hitters like Jon Rahm actually driving some of the par fours. "Rhambo" ended up four birdie two bogie [-2] with 9 other players

ex for Van Rooyen, Stone and Rahm, none of my "top picks" doing anything. Ryan Fox with a 2 birdie 5 bogie [+3] and Tyrrell Hatton 4 bogies on the front side but birdies #18 for [+3]. I just can NOT understand "Foxy's" aversion to the Open. second year in a row where he comes in "hot" from the Irish & Scottish Opens and "blows up"

some GOOD some BAD after the 1st round in my match plays.
the GOOD
Brandon Stone +135 [-3] over Stewart Cink [+1]
Webb Simpson +110 [-1]
over Brandt Snedeker [+5]
Russell Knox -105 [+2]
over Bubba Watson [+4]
the BAD
Thorbjorn Olesen +140 [-1] over Tony Finau [-4]
Ryan Fox -110
[+3] over Danny Willett [-2]
the other three "wicked close"

AND all my "Group" plays are a mess. Rickie Fowler one behind Rory McIlroy in Group A, Brooks Koepka three behind Justin Thomas in Group C, Tyrrelll Hatton three behind Jason Day in Group D and Russell Knox four behind Zack Johnson in "F Troop".

the GOOD news is Bubba Watson shoots [+4] and looks like a CUT which should be around [+2] or [+3]

Brandon Stone +115 [-3] over Stewart Cink [+1] (44/94.60)
Danny Willett +105 [-2] over Luke List -125 [-1] (50/102.50)
Kevin Kisner +105 [-5] over Thomas Pieters -125 [-1] (50/102.50)
Patrick Cantlay even [-1] over Tyrrell Hatton -120 [+3] (50/100)
Austin Cook +105 [+1] over Ross Fisher -125 [+4] (50/102.50)

Alex Noren +115 over Dustin Johnson [even/+1] WIN
Brandon Stone +115 over Stewart Cink [+1/-1] lose
Danny Willett +105 over Luke List [even /-1] lose
Kevin Kisner +105 over Thomas Pieters [-1/+2] WIN
Patrick Cantlay even over Tyrrell Hatton [even/even] "putch"
Austin Cook +105 over Ross Fisher [-1/-1] "putch"

AND two WIN two LOSE after the 2nd round CUT. the other four pretty doubtful right now

Webb Simpson +110 [even/-1] over Brandt Snedeker [+7/+12] CUT WIN
Jorge Campillo +120 [+4/+5] CUT over Gary Woodland [+1/+1] (50/110) lose
Ian Poulter even [+10/+12] CUT over Phil Mickelson [-2/even] (50/100) lose
Russell Knox -105 [+2/+4] CUT over Bubba Watson [+2/+6] CUT (53/103.50) WIN
freeking Knox left his PUTTER and his GAME at the Ballyliffin GC in Ireland after ROBBING my ASS two weeks ago!!!

ADND that big Basque bugger Jon Rahm DOES it AGAIN!!! "Rahmbo" back to being the "Rahm-a-lama Dong Dong" with a 2nd round triple, two doubles three bogies and three birdies [+7] for tourney [+5] CUT!!! at least Tommy Fleetwood with the low round of the day [-6] for tourney [-5] one behind both Zack Johnson and Kevin Kisner and tied with Pat Perez and "X" Schauffele. watching Johnson early in the rain he looked like he is in the same form as back in 2015 @ St Andrews when he WON the tourney in a playoff. his adjusted "to win" odds are 7-1 @ William-Hiill. Perez is 25-1 while "X" is 16-1 with Kisner 12-1 Rory McIlroy [-2] for [-4], Jordan Spieth [-4] for [-3] and Rickie Fowler [-2] for [-3] all "lurking" in range

well ANOTHER two WIN, two LOSE and two "putch" BUT with the plus money make a little. REALLY pissed I did NOT chance Yusaku Miyazato +190 over Tyrrell Hatton which went [-6/+1] . was going to play Hatton for a FADE but the Japanese guy had shot [+3] 2nd round and that scared me off

Xander Schauffele +175 over Rory McIlroy (30/82.50) [-4/-1] WIN
Brett Rumford +160
over Paul Dunne (32/83.20) [+1/+2] WIN
Zander Lombard +195
over Tony Finau (26/76.70) [even/even] "putch"
Masahiro Kawamura +15
0 over Shubhankar Sharma (34/85) [even/even] "putch"
Rhys Enoch +225
over Patrick Reed (23/74.75) [-1 /-3] lose
Shaun Norris +220
over Tiger Woods (23/73.60) [-2/-5] lose

setting up to be one hell of a finish with Spieth, Schauffele and Kisner tied for the lead at [-9]. "Squirrely" Spieth has to be the favorite. the guy is just lucky as sin and usually does NOT lose when in the lead. "X" WON the FedEx Cup TOUR Championship the end of last season BUT "Kizz" blew the 3rd round lead in the PGA. Kevin Chapple two back in solo 4th [-7] while "The Mole" solo 5th [-6]. BOTH "Kizz" and "Chappie" were pre-tourney 150-1

a BUNCH of players tied 6th [-5] including Fleetwood, McIlroy, Kuchar, Noren, Simpson, Zack Johnson and (YIKES!!!) Tiger Woods. I have seen "Cocker Tommy", Rory, Alex and "The Mole" ALL shoot "bomber" rounds to finish tourneys in the past so ANYTHING can HAPPEN. even Justin Rose has a shot after a 3rd round [-7] for tourney [-4] the low round of the day. Spieth was [-6] Saturday along with the Japanese golfer Yusaku Miyazato while Tiger shot [-5]

note: it is a BIG DEAL for players like Erik Van Rooyen, Zander Lombard and Austin Cook to mover up into the top 10 plus ties to qualify for next year. all are current [-4] and the top 10 number [-5] after 3rd round

Oh and even though I took a Sunday match play against him, I chanced the Justin Rose adjusted "to win" @ 35-1 @ South Point off that 3rd round [-7]. leaders would have to come back to the field some BUT IF he shoots another "bomber" he could get there :)

all I can say is THANK YOU, "MOLE"!!! SAVES what could have been another WRECK of a tourney with his WIN!!!. makes up big time for going 2-6 on my 8 tourney match plays :sportsfanfinger:

HERE'S a "Howdy Do". "The Mole" last six tourneys

May 27th WON BMW PGA [-17]
June 3rd solo 2nd Italian Open [-21]
June 17th T-25th US Open [+12]
July 1st WON Quicken Loans National [-21]
July 15th T-2nd John Deere [-19]
July 22nd WON British Open [-8]

his BEST early PGA Championship "to win" odds are 33-1 @ Cantor Gaming

Nice job on Molinari LeRink! I am kicking myself for not playing him to win. 60-1 was tremendous value there.
