LOTTA big favorites coming up, someone has to get upset, right? Really eyeing rosado+600 and i love the stevens/ggg over 6.5 rounds at +210. Even the over in the pac fight has me wondering. does pac have enough left to knock out rios? is rios gonna go down quick after the battles he's been in?

stevens/ggg over 6.5 rounds. x--bet. one unit.
stevens+610 --bet. 1/2 unit.

leanin rosado at that price. don't think it should be that high.

No way Quillin should be -900, imo. He'll win it, but I think Rosado makes him work for it.

Hopkins decision is down to -270. Gotta love that.

I normally don't lay big favorites, but I'm comfortable with that Wilder under 5.5 @ -325. Probably won't go 2.

I hope Stevens can hang around long enough to land some big shots on GGG. I'm dying to know what GGG does when he gets hit by a decent puncher.

I struggle to think of a time when a fighter suffered a Pacquiao-like KO and bounced back in their next fight to look good. Rios is tough. Might end up with something like Rios ITD, and Pacquiao Decision.

The 5D odds for Trout/Lara can't come out soon enough. I'll be on Lara pretty big. Bet365 opened Lara as the underdog. Yes, please.

agreed on all fronts.

most likely gonna add hopkins by decision -270 as well.

praying that stevens lands enough to keep ggg at bay, but with a big puncher like this, i'll take a flyer on the win. shoulda waited though, he's +700 now.

quillin -1000 somehow this mornin.

final card: stevens/ggg ovr 6.5 rounds(+210)x, stevens+610 .5x, hopkins by 12 rd decision(-270)xx, rosado+650 .5x

Just rewatched the Gatti/Rodriguez fight from 1996.....what an awesome fight. Watched the HBO special they did on Gatti/Ward the other night (enjoyed a lot) and remembered watching his fight with Rodriguez back in the day. Gatti was always my favorite to watch fight, was fortunate enough to see Gatti/Ward 3 in AC.

Any thoughts on Quillin / Rosado o8.5 @ -160 Jab? Think Rasado is as tough as they come and likely makes this a really physical, ugly, and frustrating fight for Quillin.

I lean that way. Took triple G, what, 7 to get Rosado out? Quillin has real power, but he also lets guys off the hook when he has them hurt at times. If Quillin doesn't get him out early, I honestly think it could go the whole way.

hope you all got the over....feel bad I havent been as active here on the gloves

havent watched the "alien" fight yet, but the old man says good action fight after 4 or so

How about I am gonna be in NYC this coming weekend....see that GGG is fighting etc....have plans already

revoke my boxing card?

jesus christ, stevens+1000 this morning, and OVR 6.5+230. whoops.

props to quillin for putting gabe away. still think -1000 was too much.

While Russian heavyweight Magomed Abdusalamov remained "stable" in a medically induced coma Monday following a brain injury suffered in a brutal fight with Mike Perez on Saturday night, Perez spoke out for the first time Monday.

Magomed Abdusalamov's plight, on the heels of Frankie Leal's death, is another stark reminder that boxing can be a life-and-death endeavor, Michael Woods writes.Blog

"Mago is in my thoughts and prayers and I hope he recovers quickly," Perez said in a statement. "He fought like a true warrior. I'm happy to be victorious but my main concern is for his health."
Perez won a 10-round unanimous decision against Abdusalamov in an extremely violent slugfest at the Theater at Madison Square Garden in New York in an HBO-televised bout on the undercard of middleweight titlist Gennady Golovkin's defense against Curtis Stevens.
The 32-year-old Abdusalamov (18-1, 18 KOs) suffered an apparent broken left hand and nose during the fight in addition to cuts and bruises. He was taken to Roosevelt Hospital in New York for treatment after the fight. However, he also complained of a headache, and when he was examined at the hospital, a small brain bleed was discovered.
Abdusalamov had brain surgery to remove the blood clot. A small piece of his skull also was removed to relieve the swelling in his brain, and he was placed in a medically induced coma, which is used to help reduce the swelling.

Kieran Mulvaney mulls boxing's inherent dangers and says more should be done to protect fighters such as Frankie Leal and Magomed Abdusalamov.

Nathan Lewkowicz, vice president of father Sampson Lewkowicz's promotional company, Sampson Boxing, which promotes Abdusalamov, told ESPN.com on Monday night that Adusalamov's condition remained stable.
"Still stable in [intensive care], and his temperature is down to normal from where it was [Sunday], which was 104," Lewkowicz said.
"Our entire team was very saddened to hear of the injuries that Magomed sustained during his bout on Saturday night," said Tom Loeffler of K2 Promotions, Golovkin's promoter, which promoted the card. "He is in our thoughts and prayers and we thank his team for keeping us updated on his condition."
Perez (20-0, 12 KOs), a Cuban defector living in Ireland, took over after the first few rounds and won 97-92, 97-92 and 95-94 on the judges' scorecards.

[h=1]Abdusalamov recovering from stroke[/h]
Updated: November 5, 2013, 10:39 PM ET
<cite class="source" style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px; border: 0px; outline: 0px; vertical-align: baseline; background-color: transparent; font-style: normal; line-height: 14px; font-family: Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif; color: rgb(153, 153, 153); display: block; overflow: hidden;">By Dan Rafael | ESPN.com</cite>

Although Russian heavyweight Magomed Abdusalamov remained in stable condition in intensive care and in a medically induced coma on Tuesday night, he suffered a stroke on Sunday.
"He is recovering from a stroke and he's on a machine that's keeping him alive," Nathan Lewkowicz, vice president of his father Sampson Lewkowicz's promotional company, Sampson Boxing, which promotes Abdusalamov, told ESPN.com on Tuesday. "He is getting better according to the doctors as he doesn't have a temperature like he did on Sunday."

Adusalamov's temperature had risen to 104 degrees on Sunday, although Lewkowicz said it had since returned to normal.
Initially, Lewkowicz had not mentioned the stroke when he updated Adusalamov's condition on Monday, but then word leaked out about it.
"We didn't want to say anything about it but someone told the New York Post about it, so I decided to confirm it," Lewkowicz said.
Abdusalamov (18-1, 18 KOs), 32, suffered a brain injury during a unanimous 10-round decision loss to Mike Perez (20-0, 12 KOs) in an HBO-televised fight on the Gennady Golovkin-Curtis Stevens undercard on Saturday night at the Theater at Madison Square Garden in New York.
Abdusalamov suffered a left hand and nose injury in addition to cuts and bruises during the bout, after which he was taken to Roosevelt Hospital in New York for treatment. But he also complained of a headache and when he was examined at the hospital, a small brain bleed was discovered.
Abdusalamov, a married father of three daughters, had brain surgery to remove the blood clot as well as a small piece of his skull in order to relieve the swelling in his brain. He was also placed in medically induced coma, which is used to help reduce the swelling.
"The worst part about [Monday's] hospital visit though was seeing his 11-month-old daughter continually saying 'Da Da.' As a new father, that was absolutely heartbreaking," Lewkowicz said.
Sampson Lewkowicz announced that he, fellow promoters Leon Margules, Lou DiBella and others in the boxing industry are setting up The Magomed Abdusalamov Trust to help raise money to help with the financial burden of the medical costs.
"We are going to do what we need to do for Magomed," Sampson Lewkowicz said. "He and his family are going to need our help. He is going to need financial assistance for the medical bills for his treatment and for his family, who are faced with an urgent financial crunch from this terrible accident.
"We cannot, as a boxing family, turn our backs on the brave men and women who compete in our sport when they need us most. We are going to do everything possible to help him get back on his feet. Magomed will never fight again, but he is a good man and a brave man with a nice family. We are going to make sure they all pull through this intact. That is the right thing to do. Every dollar will help."

Anybody here think Garth wood has a shot at knocking out Geale? I don't see Garth Wood winning by decision but who knows maybe he gets some big shots in.

Anybody here think Garth wood has a shot at knocking out Geale? I don't see Garth Wood winning by decision but who knows maybe he gets some big shots in.

That's his only shot. And it's going to have to come from some wild, bull rushing wide ass shot. I think Geale beats him soundly.
