Would you believe that I have made my very first Sunday bet on agame the following Saturday.
Had to give 3 1/2 but I saw some of both teams yesterday - more on Army - who can't tackle worth shit.

Hey buddy,
Glad to see that you played the MIZZOU under Saturday. Thankfully never in doubt.
For this weeks game I was shocked to see that we are three TD favorites.
First let me say that I don't know anything about UConn this year but........
1. Our offense is terrible. Without all of the Mauk scrambles we would have lost straight up. Even if Hansborough does play he's not THAT much of a difference maker.
2. Pinkel has never been known for covering big spreads. When he gets a two TD lead he sits on it (See Indiana game last year for how that works out!)
IMO the only way that Mizzou possibly covers this spread is if UConn gives up two or three scores to our defense / special teams.

Also will wait for the total but unless UConn has become a great offense I wouldn't expect us to give up more than a couple TD's at home.

Have a look and let me know your thoughts.

Thanks guys
MrBull, appreciate the heads up. I was going to try and help the guy before he was banned. This thread is always open to speak ur piece but it was quite evident that this dude has some problems that needed discussing and I was going to help educate him. For those that missed his post, it was basically directed more toward me but bleed over to some others here that play the early lines. I'm an old man with a pretty thick skin and have seen damn near everything at these forums but I had never been jumped on so hard for something that the poster obviously did not understand the subject of playing early lines. I thank the owners/mods for diffusing the situation before it festered. Hats off the CTG for being on top of the situation.
But Im sure this dude will still read the threads and he can get in touch with me I will be glad to help him.

Dwight, Player, CG, Thanks guys, Appreciate it

VK, I actually hit Wake @ -2 and it came back @ -3 As U know, its so hectic and the lines move so fast it nearly impossible to get the open on all that one would like. I made wake a 7 pt game and was happy to get -3

gsro, Clem opened @ a pk but stayed there less than five min. I had made it 10pt game but having limited funds at BOL, I had many more games I wanted to play so I hit it for a nickle which is normally the limit on opening lines at most places and could not believe it when it was still a pk so I hit it again for two more.

MrEdd, I appreciate the heads up on the Mizzou game last wk. That 4U win helped a lot. I thought about U as soon as I saw this wks opening line @ 24 ...Down now at most places to 22.5 but still like UConn small to med at that price. I only hit the side for one hoping to see a good total to load up on as Uconn has a good enough D to keep this one very low scoring, Under 46 imo

Cruse , Sorry to hear that...U know what I think about Pro ball. I was lucky this wk going 9-3 in nfl but playing small in wk one. Lost 28U on a big par when StLouis won in OT ohwell

Tim, Thanks buddy, followed u on the ur UtahSt/Wash Under 47

SportsCruncher, Thanks U will also see many very good college basket players here that play opening #s
If I know who is in the net the day before I love to play pucks opening lines. I personally think opening lines are the way to go IF one has the game capped and ready to go when a good line is available.

I also think many of us here post to be helpful to the peps that dont have time or maybe not the knowledge on certain games that is needed to be successful yr end and yr out

BOL guys

Mr Ed is spot on about Mizzou. The offense has serious issues. The wr's are getting open and have talent, but young and have dropsies. Mauk has been just fair. O line not been good. RB is a major problem right now. Hansbrough is out. Witter is dinged. Hunt been battling groin. Steward coming off surgery. Abbington came to camp overweight. Walters, who beat writers believe would be the second best back, is out indefinitely. That's 5 injured backs and an overweight one. Not a good scenario. That could change if some of these guys can get healthy. However, there is no incentive to smoke UConn. They just want the w and heal up. Also, the defense appears as good as last years so Mizzou unders will cash a lot. If Mizzou gets a lead, Pinkel will take zero chances especially without field position. I can see them up 17-7 at half and hanging on 20-10. The offense may improve as the season goes on, but I don't expect to see it this week.

Great insight chips. Hope you keep on improving every week Blood, thanks for the posts.

played a few totals on the open but didnt get to post

Ala Over 49 x2 I made this 57, will prob add to this in some pars
Wash Under 47 x 2 made this 41
Missouri Under 45 x4 made this 38

CHIPs,
Welcome to the thread, thanks for the Good info. Looks like a 1st half play may be in order also.

Was just going to ask you about Alabama total, my feeling also is that it is too low.

Man, I really need to open an account on Betonline. I limit my self by only using 5dimes. Best of luck Blood. Hoping for another wonderful season my friend.

chub, while no one needs as many accounts as I have because I like to shop lines, I do think a player should have at least a couple or three good offshore books plus a good dependable local that u can negotiate with fall back on when needed. Its always nice to know u can go to him on Monday and collect. GL chubster

please bear with me while I make a few parlays with point bought, I know most could care less and I understand

103 Clemson* -6 -120/ Clemson/Louisville* Over 41 -450 300 wins 372
Clem and their qb who is @ 77% comp should be able to win this by10-16 and I think we are looking @ a 38-24 score.the Ville no longer have a D that can coverup the O's mistakes

105 Florida State* -300 / Florida State/Boston College* Over 41 -220 200 wins 188
I didnt play either of these straightup but I do like FlSt to win and I certainly see no reason we cant see a 34-27 type of game. This will be a test for BC after a couple of FCS cupcakes.
105 Florida State* -6 -150 vs Boston College buying 1.5 x1 ...trends say BC, my man against ur man says FLSt by 9

NewMex/ArizSt I didnt play this on the open @ 24 as my # has it as a 21 pt game. The 'eye test' on ASU has been disappointing to me and they have USC on deck. If I can get some line movement to where I can buy it @ +31 for a reasonable # I will. My books are not letting me parlay this game with bought pts so it may be a NP

Good advice on having a local man you can negotiate with, Blood. I have several guys spread around the country and I can almost always rely on getting a good number from one of them.

I did a bad job last week. Bet just to have some action and that's always stupid.

Thanks guys, I'm always excited on Sat morn before a big day of football. I hope we all have a big day.
We have had plenty of discussion in this forum this yr so I have taken time to add much. I respect the cappers here A CTG and I am sure they have come up with more winners than not

added a few small early parlays with bought pts. not everyones cup of tea but this allows me to play some tms that I sometimes normally wouldnt play because the line is not with in my #s
