You've got me worried, Blood. I see you have Bama as your best bet.

I only saw one game I really like this week so I made Oklahoma a max bet and everything else one unit. I think your and I are the only ones who think Oklahoma will win outright, Blood. All the media and public touts are going with Baylor.

Wanted to bet N Dame on ML, but they declined the bet and said check back tomorrow. I'm leaning to N Carolina (the number got away from me so I'll wait and see if I get the number I want), Houston, and USF. Those last two are both night games so I'll decide on those tomorrow.

Wash State +10x (probably suicide, UCLA is a mystery to me, I never figure them right)

Fellas, can I get thoughts from the both of you on this Alabama game? I've never seen the hound put up 10 units on a game, and I'm seriously considering putting a nickel on this game (my biggest bet ever). As you know, I've been educationanlly tailing you for a few years now Blood, and I've done my due diligence on the game, but I would like some experienced thoughts from both sides. Tahoe has been killing it this year as well so I just want to get as much information on this game as possible before I make the play. Thanks fellas and best of luck. Thank you for all you do!

It's also supposed to be in the low 40's for the game tomorrow, sorta wonder how we'll play in that type weather (it was in the high 80's earlier this week in Austin). Always wish U the best Tahoe. I like Oki,and Iowa. I think both Ark and MissSt are bad plays but that just my opinion and what do i know?????

On the Bama thing, I actually have twice that amount on Bama put I dont post over a dime. I dont consider this having big ball, I have capped the game and I believe I'm correct. We'll see soon
If U read post 7 u have a basic idea of how i feel about the game. If u read everyone else all u can see is 'Letdown'. I dont believe that here.
With my apologies to the MissSt fans, I dont believe St is that good and are over rated!! Sure the cow bells will be ringing,they will be up for this game as always as they are playing for the death of one of their redshirt freshmen and they have a damn good QB in Prescott. The numbers and some trends favor State. If u really get in and break the game down, I think Bama will win every facet of this game. I give States D line a very slight adv over Bama O line, but very slight. Every other position against position goes to Alabama imo. As much credit as peps have given MissSt, they are only +74 ypg avg better than the easy sched they have played. Bama is about 169ypg better in their 3rd ranked sched. They also are holding tms to 184 yds less than their season avg. I think Bama stops Prescott, ok, limits Prescott to his lowest game of the season and I dont believe that State slows down Bama avg O

Chub, I don't disagree with anything Blood said in his analysis.

Bama is the better team with the better defense. Their only weakness is they can't count on their kicker. If I were going strictly on which is the best team I would have to take Bama, but it's no secret why I decided to take Miss State.

I'm counting on Bama coming out flat and less motivated after playing their biggest game last week and going on the road to play a team they know they can beat. It is common for teams to do just that and Bama does it with regularity under Saban. They've done it this year even at home--Arkansas and Tennessee for instance. It is worth something to have the best QB, and Miss State has an excellent defense as well, just not as good as Bama's. So a backdoor cover is always open.

Plus, I hate to give points on the road and like to take SEC dogs at home.

But if Bama comes out breathing fire I'm dead in the water. The fact that Blood thinks they will is why I said it scares me. He is as good as I am at predicting a team's mindset, probably better.

You see these type games all season long where a superior team is playing a good team, just not as good as the superior team and it always comes down to whether the superior team is fired up. On a game like this I just go with feel and instinct.

LSU/Arkansas is the exact same situation, except LSU is even more likely to play down to an opponent and come out flat after playing Bama. I took Arkansas, but there is an additional factor in that one that Arkansas has beaten LSU recently. I still think they will be flat, but once again it is just feel.

It's what makes trying to handicap college football so intriguing.

Good luck to all. Not many things more enjoyable than a weekend of college football when you have a little money riding on the outcome.
