Black Monday- Kubiak Raiders

Birdwill is someone that needs acceptance among fans. If he hires Arthur Smith it would be due to his delusion that we care about the Steelers connection. Arians was at least good at his job when we hired him.

I really think he goes more outside the box. Going to be tough because fans like/love Gannon still so a bad hire that doesn't make us at least think there's an upside and he will be crucified locally.

None of these teams need to hire a coach that the fans want. The fact is the value of these franchises go up regardless of fan interest or lack of winning.

Value isn't relative to family teams like here, Chicago, Detroit likely, NO etc

Michael Bidwill values current popularity and success more than his father ever did at least and that's a good thing for fans of this team. I have no clue why they'd interview Arthur Smith (although to be fair he was OC of a playoff team that shouldn't have won more than 3 games with that roster). Michael likes to splash hire so that it's buzzworthy around here while he gets run over with Suns and Dbacks headlines. He really wants that more than anything I believe. Arthur Smith would do the complete opposite.

Harbaugh going to NYG, it sounds like
Boring team hires boring coach. Not that I mind boring but you'd think the Giants could use their market to be a little less boring.

They have Ravens tendencies at this point I guess

Dart and Scat so boring...
I mean if you need a drumming you can do it but the only time I've actually paid attention to the Giants in the last decade was when ODB was healthy

And I like Dart. Skat is as advertised. I don't think either are overly injury prone long term which is a plus. Good foundation to have QB/RB but that's about it. Really since I started typing this I think they are a team full of insanely average with a new coach that excelled over a decade ago.

Thanks. Got me on my first fade for next season

A bit early to be calling out fades.

I'll give you that after we see the March period.

Lot of pressure and high expectations with him. Scat is fun but not sure he's SB material. Dart will be better with Nabers coming back. But fans will expect playoffs, even 1st year

Run the list of names since Coughlin. And I like Spags always as an assistant, like DA.
Boring is the Jets, dude. You are getting really bad at this contrarian thing.

Lol I wasn't being contrarian. It's a boring org. Hell I can go back to Joe Morris, Hostetler, etc. Boring AF. Not sure how to compare them to the Jets, never really thought about it but I never got caught up in the NY thing to start.

They have been as bad as the jets for the last 10 years or so but they are still considered to be a great organization probably due to ownership that doesn't get in the way. I've kind of soured on the Harbaughs a bit but this is a very good coach and the best hire they've made in a long time.

He at least gets a similar QB to Lamar s skill set

I would fire Mcdummy for Stefanski

It’s not the first time and it won’t be the last. I had Denver and admittedly much of my game script evaporated as the game went on.

But like last year, the offense is James Cook. Stop trying to force Josh Allen on the world. He’s good in his own right. Give the ball to James Cook. The end. McDermott will never learn.

If Cooks catches the ball at the 20 the game is essentially over. We're having a whole different conversation right now...

Brady did run Jimbo in the 4th he was only getting 0-3 yards per carry. ..

Mcdermott was horrible with his timeouts in OT. Should have called one as the play clock for down to 4 on a crucial 3rd down that led to the interception

I know Cleveland people are shitting over Stefanski right now. I can't say I watched enough Cleveland games to know either way what kind of hire it is.

I think Matt Ryan made it clear, he wanted to hire a coach that had been a HC before. It's probably a more attractive job, but the Qb situation is a mess.

Arthur Blank finally did the right thing and cleaned house in the front office. I have no idea if any of this will work, but I at least have some optimism. It's been awhile since I've had that.

He's a two time coach of the year with Cleveland of all teams. Who knows if it will work out but he's shown himself to be a good coach and he was number one on my list to replace the illiterate jackass that coaches my former favorite team. Good for Blank not being fooled by the late Falcons run once they were eliminated.

He never seemed to have a lot of love from the locker room. Garrett never seemed to praise him. But other than that this is a great hire. They should win the South easily and they don’t even have a QB.

I wanted Mcdummy fired the moment after 13 seconds ..Not only did he not squib , he then called timeout for KC after their first completion

Teams with losing records that are keeping their coach:

Bengals, Jets, Cowboys - see you all next year

Chiefs - Andy, 'nuff said
Bucs - co-division champs? OK
Saints - the one coach with a losing record that actually overachieved
Commanders - injury do-over I suppose

That's it, that's the list.
