Bills Vs. Chiefs Discussion Thread

Do you think the Chiefs care about winning the statistical battle? They do just enough offensively to win.
Oh ok. I just read your comment again and you mentioned yards.

You also failed to mention the Bills gave up 10 points in 5 seperate games but if you're trying to make a case for the Chiefs to win the game that can't be stated lol

I have no idea what you just said. I pointed out Bills road games vs playoff teams and points given up. Again, the Bills had given up an average of 36 points on the road to playoff teams. The Bills are in the playoffs and are on the road this week.

My other comment was to the other poster saying the Bills defense is better now that they are healthy. Since week 11 the Bills are almost last vs drop back attempts. Plus, they have injuries again.

The Chiefs do what they have to do to win. They don't care about spreads or leading the league in points or yards if that is what you are getting at. Once they get a lead, they milk it hoping opponents make mistakes.

Making a case for the Ciefs to win that can't be stated? WTF? No entiendo Vaquero

Thank you Brother , we're in a state of euphoria right now .

Seeing my kids cherish watching BILLS games with my mother who is in the late stages of Alzheimer's is always priceless ..My mother usually passes out around 7pm , she stayed up for the whole game often screaming "LET'S GO BUFFALO " ...Doubt she makes it to next season, beating the Chiefs next week would mean everything to us as a family
My mother-in-law is also in the late stages of Alzheimer's. It is a brutal and unfair disease. My heart goes out to you buddy.

@Smallmouth_bass i think you bring up valid points. My concerns with the bills are on the defensive side for sure. I think the difference between the rams/lions and the chiefs is the latter haven’t been lighting up the scoreboard. They do enough to win for sure and have a much better d than either.

The numbers are a bit skewed with Milano’s return as he was def getting back up to game speed. He was taken out once it was apparent he was good to go vs the jets and didn’t play the last week.

Even without Milano the bills d played kc well, I still think kelce s the one to key on.

Kc pts avg for the season is low but that means nothing when you win. They are completely capable of scoring with the Bills IF the bills d doesn’t show up. I think the Bills line is playing its best right now, but benford status for secondary is huge.

Taron j on injury report (neck)

Possibly separated his shoulder in the game last week. Definitely some questions with these injuries.

Benford clearing protocol to me is the biggest question. Milano is playing. Only one I expect out is Rapp but who knows maybe he pops a perc and is in there but I doubt it

Only question is how much more money am I gonna lose betting against Mahomes again........it is a pile so far
I should have a separate tax form for kc fades.

This bills team is playing ball and Allen is playing the best he ever has, so hard to imagine him falling flat on his face. They are loving the underdog role even if they are a fan favorite right now

Mahomes and Alabama for some years for me. I finally got some of it back the year or 2 we all had the 1st h shit rolling with that but nothing close

Lastly, guess who was 4th best in the NFL in "give-aways" or turning the ball over? The Chiefs. They only turned the ball over 14 times in 17 regular season games. Guess how many times the Chiefs turned the ball over last week against a very good Texan defense? Zero.

To hope or count on the Bills to win the turnover battle when the Chiefs turn the ball over less than 1 time a game over 18 games is a stretch if you ask me. Both teams protect the football.
Pat threw 2 ints earlier this season vs the Bills. Lamar hadn't thrown hardly any picks that were his fault all season then turned the ball over last week. It's not a stretch at all to hope the Bills win the turnover battle when they have all season long. The statement that Pat didn't turn the ball over vs the texans so he won't vs the Bills is very flawed logic. I think if Stroud/Nico wasn't banged up it could have come down to the last play with Houston it's not like they dominated the game.

Last meeting Buffalo was without Milano & KC never lead after the 2nd quarter. Buffalo had 5 plays of 20+ yards while KC had 1 & the Bills were without kincaid. They scored 31.

Yes the Bills allowed 42 more points this season than KC. They also scored 140 more points. KC's great defense will have to stop Allen & I don't know if they can.

I was very concerned with how close that game was as a Bills backer. Felt like KC went through motions for 3 quarters and they didn't have a few of the players on offense they'll have this weekend. Also, of course, now home. Given the circumstances that should have been a blowout.

The Chiefs defense has been dominant, holding opponents to just 18.9 PPG. Allen excels against elite defenses, going 27-7 SU and 26-7-1 ATS vs. teams allowing <20 PPG, consistently putting up multi-TD performances.

Better coach
Better QB
Better defense

That’s as far as my capping needs to go for this game.

On top of it, I’m betting on trend that has never lost - Mahomes over Allen in the playoffs.

We can break it down 75 other ways with various stats and trends, but to me it’s just this easy for this particular game. Obviously it doesn’t mean I will win, though.

Good luck to all!

Allen has been a far better QB this season.

Hypotheticals are an odd way for this conversation to turn. It’s impossible to answer any of those questions.

All I know is what I’ve seen the last handful of years. If Allen goes out tomorrow and changes the narrative, big props to him!

Yes. If they can limit Kelce. That is the key IMO

So it was -1 and then pk and then -1.5? In any case, I'm surprised Chiefs didn't open -2.5 at the very very least. Top seed at home...

They really had to like bills to start it there right? even tho I keep telling myself the way bills play them in regular season combined with playing them tough a few times in playoffs it doesn’t make a lot of sense they could end up 0-4 against them in playoffs. There still no chance I would bet against kc getting less than a fg. Id have been super tempted getting 3 or more given Kc can practically kill any ats number and win, watch the -2 come into play! Lol.

The craziest part is what would this line been to start year? Lot of ppl were down on bills while crowning the jets, lol. So now after kc only loses 1 game they tried to win all year but wernt pretty the whole time and bills exceeded expectations here we are? Kc looked a whole lot better as ppl got healthy down the stretch.

My problem is I liked bills to start year more than past years cause the oline and run game, I think the 2 tight ends gonna be a problem for kc who id say that the area of the d that most vulnerable. Style wise it such a good matchup compared to the past where bills played with more spread looks which kc attacks really well:,now bills size changes things imo. All that said I still can’t bet against kc without fg or more. Think im gonna be looking at mostly props while tennis on.

Ya'll are thinking to long and hard about this one.

Ya think? What’s the easy play, kc?

I think it a very tough game, bills have pretty much slowly been building their team to match up with these guys. Think the 2 te’s plus all the beef they been putting on the Los should make it a lot tougher for spags to dial up the pressure like he does vs spread formations. Really think it so close the -2 could come into play. 24-23 somebody?

I tend to agree with your analysis.

This is going to sound ridiculous, but, I liken this game to a kid in diapers. I’m going to bet on that kid pissing his diaper every time until he finally figures it out. Once he starts making it to the bathroom, I’m going to then start betting on him making it to the bathroom and that’s when I’ll take the diaper off.

To date, Josh Allen and the Bills have pissed their pants every time in the playoffs against Mahomes. Today could be the day that changes, I’m just not willing to bet on it until I see it happen once.

Im more inclined to say kc and mahomes have had some amazing performances than bills pissed their pants, that more a ravens thing! same conclusion tho, not wanting to fade bills I just can’t bet against kc in playoffs at such a low number. I might play something live but as of now im only playing props in this one

So it's time to weigh in...

Happy Gameday to all, especially @aplous @Lexington 125 and @DOUBLEUP4LIFE

I will be as unbiased as possible.

Case in point, I think Buffalo is a smidge better than KC overall. Neutral field, I'd prob lean their way. There have been several games in which I thought the Bills were borderline unstoppable this season and a few where they left me scratching my head. I did not feel they played particularly well last week. I thought Baltimore was the better team and when they weren't turning it over, did pretty much what they wanted to do.

Josh is a beast. He has played here enough times that the crowd won't affect him. It doesn't pain me at all to say to this point he's Sham to Mahomes's Secretariat (look up Sham and you will find one of the all time greatest horses who happened to be born at the wrong time. His second place in the Derby to Secretariat is still the second fastest Derby ever run.. but I digress). Point being, hes awesome. What was surprising to me is that he had 7 games of his 18 with under 200 yards passing. I think the play for Spags and KC is to force them to beat you through the air somehow. Bend but don't break, force FGs in the red zone. If Buffalo runs for 150-200 yards, it's a wrap. Gotta also limit Shakir after the catch. Really nice player, belongs in an offense like Buff or KC and really does a good job.

Mahomes is Mahomes. If you think he is elite and an all time competitor, it can't be a good thing that the narrative (even from Schefter today in a wildly baffling series of tweets from a guy who relies on teams for info) is that he can't win without the refs. I think Petty Mahomes (if protected by his tackles) is going to have a sizeable chip on his shoulder.

Two good defenses here. Can't say much. Would be very beneficial if the Chiefs could establish the ground game, but it needs to be Hunt and not Pacheco. Pacheco has not been himself since he came back. Wouldn't be surprised to see a decent amount of defensive holdings and PI today from Blakeman's crew against both teams who typically play very physical in the secondary.

TE play will be very important. Neither team covers the TE particularly well, very middle of the road numbers. I think all 3 will get theirs with Noah Gray getting a couple looks as well.

Special teams, slight edge to KC. Bass has made some big kicks since last year's miss, will be interesting.

Coaching, edge to KC. I don't think McDermott moves the needle. Brady is excellent. I think HC, OC, DC, STC, Chiefs have a pretty decent edge there.

I'm rolling with my guys. I am banking on the D stepping up, and Mahomes stepping up. But if Allen gets it done, I'll be the first to congratulate him because going into that stadium with those psychopaths right on top of you is not easy.

Chiefs ML for me.

Kinda rambled but I think it happens.

been waiting to hear your thoughts, I think this such a even matchup; the way bills have built this team I think matches up against kc d Much better than previous years just with the 2 te’s, the stronger oline, and all the size when they go 6 lineman I don’t think it be as easy for spags to get numbers in the pass rush which he the best at. Against spread offenses he dials up pressure better than anyone. I was hoping yoj agree with the te’s as I love Knox over yards, like Kincaid.

The narrative nfl hands kc all these games is redic and just what happens when a team dominates the league you get the haters, how long did we hear bout Pats getting all the calls, cheating( ect etc, it just comes with the territory if you win to much there a fatigue that sets in with some ppl. I will say think some the stuff mahomes does on sideline clearly manipulating the rules to his advantage but what great players do, take every edge they can find. It on the league if they don’t like it!! You think he runs today? I figured his rush prop be 27-30, 24.5 feels low to me since games like this his legs always end up making a few big plays!!

I was just being a smart ass. I like the Bills but I'm wrong more than I'm right lol

Nice little side note on Sham. I did not know that!
Great Write Up!

I was just being a smart ass. I like the Bills but I'm wrong more than I'm right lol

I hear way to often “overthinking it”, drives me crazy ppl suggest thinking is a bad thing. Sure you can over analyze at times but for most part I believe in creative thought and think it what makes me a decent capper most the time. At least 50% the time I’m right every time! Lol

“Smart money is all over KC and the Over.“And just to avoid simplifying who we need to root for:

We have a TON of teasers with Phi +1/2 and Buf +8.

Most popular props
J. Hurts over 189.5 passing yards
J. Hurts over 15.5 passing completions
J. Hurts Under .5 interceptions
S. Barkley over 1.5 receptions
AJ Brown over 4.5 receptions"

I played ertz ov 3.5 receptions. Glad I got -140 it -170 now.

Daniels ov 1.5 tds +110 and parlayed w over 217 passing I think.

Ertz td +250

Little on ekler ov 28.5 rec don’t love little higher than I was hoping.

Was really hoping Barkley get bet into the 130s cause I wanted to play his under but I have him around 120 and not confident enough with only 7 yard cushion. Lol.

Don't watch NFL much admittedly.....

But as long as these coaching staffs remain as they are / talent is comparable - Buffalo ain't beating KC.

KC DC vs Buffalo OC edge is immense - other side as well. Reid a much better decision maker - seems to always push the right buttons.....

Spot on.

The Bills would do well to move on but I doubt they do.

Feel terrible for the fanbase, no one deserves it more (except us Lions guys)
