$1,000,000 NFL Survivor Contest​

*New for 2025: The 4 NFL games on Thanksgiving & Black Friday will be considered an independent contest week. You must have at least 1 team available for selection during this contest week or you will be eliminated from the contest.
Teams playing on Thanksgiving & Black Friday: Baltimore Ravens, Chicago Bears, Cincinnati Bengals, Dallas Cowboys, Detroit Lions, Green Bay Packers, Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles.
Surviving players will then need to pick a team for the contest period of Sunday, November 30th, and Monday, December 1st.
The Survivor Contest

  1. BetOnline's $1,000,000 NFL Survivor Contest begins Week 1 of the 2025 NFL Season and continues through Week 18; the postseason is not included.​
  2. Registration opens on Tuesday, July 15th, 2025 and closes on Monday, September 8th, 2025 at 8:05 pm ET. Note: If you register for the contest on Sunday, September 7th or Monday, September 8th, only games on the Week 1 schedule that have not started will be available for selection.​
  3. Contestants must have a valid BetOnline account to register for the Survivor Contest.​
  4. Contestants can participate in the Survivor Contest by purchasing at least one entry for $30.​
  5. Contestants can enter the $1,000,000 Survivor Contest up to 25 times. Additional entries are available at a discounted rate:​

    One Entry: $30.00​
    ​
    Entries 2-5: $25.00 each

    Entries 6-10: $20.00 each

    Entries 11-25: $15.00 each​

  6. All entry purchases are deducted from your BetOnline Sportsbook balance.​
  7. If you do not purchase all 25 entries, you can come back and purchase more entries at any time until the deadline – Monday, September 8th at 8:05 pm ET.​
  8. Registration for the Survivor Contest is only available online. You cannot register via phone, chat or email.​
  9. All sales are final. There are no refunds.​
  10. The 2025 NFL season must run at least eight (8) weeks for the contest to be considered official.​
    1. If the NFL season does not run at least eight weeks, entry fees will be refunded.​
    2. If the NFL season is not completed as scheduled but lasts eight weeks or more, all remaining entries will split the prize money.​
    3. If the NFL season is suspended (but not canceled), the contests will be suspended until the season resumes. If 90 days pass without the season resuming, entry fees will either be refunded or prizes will be awarded based on the amount of weeks played.​
  11. Any reasonable suspicion of fraud or otherwise dishonest conduct on behalf of an entrant may result in disqualification of that entrant from the contest without refund.​
  12. BetOnline reserves the right to modify the rules of this contest without notice.​

Early Bird Purchase Promotion

  1. From Tuesday, July 15th to Sunday, August 24th, 2025 at 11:59 pm ET, BetOnline is offering an early bird promotion for advance purchase of NFL Survivor contest entries.​
  2. During the promotion period, every player that purchases three or more entries in the $1,000,000 NFL Survivor contest will receive an additional entry free of charge.​
  3. The free entry will be credited by Wednesday, August 27th, 2025.​
  4. The free entry is non-transferable.​
  5. BetOnline reserves the right to alter or amend the terms and conditions of this promotion at any time, without notice.​

I'll jump in here to add some context.

This was a guaranteed 250,000 a few years ago and they received 421,000+ in entries.

I don't remember the exact number last year but I believe it was over 500,000!!

This is a GUARANTEE of 1 million this year. Reading the rules, the pot grows for any monies over 1,000,000. This is a NO RAKE contest. Everything comes back to the winners.

They have also added Thanksgiving+ Black Friday as an independent week this year. That's going to really involve some strategy!

I've went with the 25 entries each year. The first year I finished just outside cashing on the split. Last year was quite forgettable. I'll definitely be capping that "19th week" first and foremost!

Yesterday was the first significant chunk of players eliminated.

Approximately 66.5% of the field remains.

The Packers loss was responsible for somewhere between 12-16% of the field dropping out.

Yours truly has 19 of his 26 left.

I did have 5 on Green Bay yesterday but honestly don't mind elimination of a nice chunk since I didn't go wild using the Packers.
