They are in the ECF unless things really unravel, it's Cleveland and Washington I'd guess but man, I just don't like that trade cuz Bron says so

Cavs need to win now, like this year. Lebron's the oldest 30-year-old in the history of the game. NBA schedule since he was 18, 10+ years of 40 minutes plus, almost never hurt, deep playoff runs, international play, Olympics … Cavs' window with this guy in his prime is short. Like a couple years.

He's going to hit 40,000 minutes of play at some point this season, if I'm not mistaken. That sure seems like an awful lot of minutes for a 30 year old.

Do they get 1 year or maybe 2 or 3? Haha.

I agree that the window is seemingly short, which is why I think the Love trade made so much sense to them.

I'll settle for one title.

I don't think Lebron's going anywhere. Not sure about Love. He says he's planning to stay, but no one seems to believe him.

Right, it's all speculation at this point anyway. I mean, just a few weeks ago LeBron and Blatt hated each other and Bron was "throwing" him out of the way of referees. Funny how Bron getting a bit healthier, playing like he's capable of, and the Cavs winning some games quiets all of the foolishness.

I wanted Blatt fired a few weeks ago. Hope that thread is buried.

I'm in the minority but I like what the A's did this offseason.

The mets had a losing record with a positive run differential. Now they get a full season of deGrom, get Harvey back, add Cuddyer, a healthy wright, and may actually get offense from their SS. Lastly, their bullpen could be one of the best in baseball this season. I'm buying.

I think San Diego will be a let down, and at what point do the Reds become sellers? I they start out slowly it could happen.

Jeter not being in NY is going to help the Yanks, not hurt them. Him "being in the lineup" didn't add value to them, that's just what fan boys would say. He was a detriment in the field (for years and years), and his bat wasn't anywhere near what it used to be. I'm not really sure how you come to the conclusion that the Yankees will have a huge void, or be worse off without Jeter in the lineup.

+1

The Yanks just have no bats. Based on pecota projections, their best hitter is projected to be either:

McCann .244/.319/.428
Headley .258/.337/.404
Ellsbury .275/.329/.417

That's not going to cut it.

Also, I will give you three to one odds that the Astros are not up 30 units two months into the season. Ridiculous.

I said COULD be up 30. Not are. LOL

I'll be keeping track on my plays to see how much I can make on the Astros
in the first 2 months...

Whats your take on Tampa? Would like to hear why they attract you. That division already has improved with Boston and Balt.

Not Clown, but I will give you my thoughts: (I will take them over; already taken them to win division and title)

I don't agree the Orioles are improved.....how?

Rays pitching staff was 3rd in FIP in the AL last year. OPS was 4th best. They actually had much better numbers than the Orioles(OPS against 0 points lowers) as a whole, but somehow gave up 32 more runs. This despite having a very good defense.

They do lose Price, but they lost a couple terrible pitchers as well. The combo of Cobb, Archer, Odorizzi, and Smyly should be among the tops in the AL. Karns is ok as a 5th starter, but Moore could give them something as well.

Bullpen is solid. I don't see any cause for concern there.

The offense isn't the great by any means. But, they have a handful you pretty know what you are going to get and are solid, average types....Loney, Dejesus, Cabrera, Jennings. Longoria is great, obviously. Rivera can't hit obviously.

I really like the potential of Souza, Franklin, and Keirmaier. I think those 3 surprise people this year (especially Souza who has light tower power). Jaso is a guy I've always liked his approach.

Thanks for your perspective. I'll be watching and will look for spots to play them.

Excellent write-up. I wouldn't; however, characterize Souzza as having light tower power. He's got plus power. Most scouting reports have him at a 60 on a 20-80 scale. By comparison Joey Gallo and Miguel Sano have substantially more power, both registering with 80's.

How ever you want to describe it, the terminology is splitting hairs. He his some long bombs with ease.

Last year he was rated best power hitter in the International league and is projected by steamer to be a 20/20 man

i'm very curious to see how TB plays as well, but I think the biggest thing that nobody talks about is Jim Hickey staying on as the pitching coach so they should still be in low-scoring dogfights favoring the home team and I don't like the AL East very much at all

sportsbook.ag deserve to lose their license because of their "Possible 2015 World Series Matchups" market

Seeing Souza's two homers so far, I'd say he has light tower power. :)
