So easy to score runs at the stadium. The right field fence is little league distance. And down the line in left is short also. JD Martinez would have hit 55 HRs there. I would have a hard time going under here. I also think the way to bet Yanks is with the run line. They do not play in many 1 run games.

I make fun of Cashman/Boone (or Booshman as I call them) having a puppet managerial setup, but truth is that there are a ton of teams doing this now.

The GM hires 8 guys who got A pluses on every paper in college, to put together the highest percentage lineup based on analytical data.

This “pack of geniuses” probably never played an inning of baseball and spent their formidable teen and college years yanking their cranks to the soft porn flicks on Skin-O-Max that are on every night at 12 midnight.

It has killed the sport for me. Watching the game go from levels similar to chess with its strategy to checkers is something that drives me nuts.

There were more strikeouts this year than hits in MLB. 5 years ago, there were 11,500 more hits than K’s in the game for the season. Just think about that.

To me, this isn’t the sport I grew up loving. It’s a video game replica that’s getting its input from computer nerds that watch 23 hours of Big Bang Theory a day.

Fuck that.

I was talking w someone at bar earlier and saying something incredibly similar after seeing several old school baseball guys fired. You know the front offices looking to bring in puppets that will do what the computers tell them to. Shit sucks and yea the number of strikeouts and lack of any importance put on situational hitting and doing the little things to win is beyond frustrating to me.
