I make fun of Cashman/Boone (or Booshman as I call them) having a puppet managerial setup, but truth is that there are a ton of teams doing this now.

It has killed the sport for me. Watching the game go from levels similar to chess with its strategy to checkers is something that drives me nuts.
There were more strikeouts this year than hits in MLB. 5 years ago, there were 11,500 more hits than K’s in the game for the season. Just think about that.
To me, this isn’t the sport I grew up loving. It’s a video game replica that’s getting its input from computer nerds that watch 23 hours of Big Bang Theory a day.
