About the only thing I hit yesterday was the 1st race.

Also don't see how Ways and Means beats Splendora today. I will gladly take 2-1 on her.

Maidens are my favorite races. Usually can eliminate 1/2 the field right away. I put pk 5s and pk 4s on the big days, but really my handicapping is finding 1-2 races a day, and hammer down on exactas and tris, and not messing with the multi race stuff.

Also enjoy Maiden races , nice to toss many that have almost zero chance.
Hope you cash big today brother , appreciate this thread and what you do here at CTG .

Probably passing on Pick 4's/5 today unless I can get a couple partners to throw down from work/OTB . Maybe some pick 3 , but they really didn't pay well yesterday.

Yeah no pk 4s and 5s today for me. I'm just going to fire at the superfecta in the Derby. Trying to narrow it down.

The last 2 scratches helped my ticket, the 2 that drew in, have no shot.

That super could be a bazillion ....I'm addicted to cheap 50 cent Tri's ...Usually a ton of $3 tickets

Already have a slew with the 11,14,19 singled in the 3rd with 1,6,8,9,15 singled on top ...

I came into the Derby not liking So Happy or Potente. But watching Potente train, I really think he can win this. I think last time he was in front and didn't want to be there. He seems much better sitting off the pace. There will be a win ticket on Potente for me today.
 
For what it's worth here are my handicapping grades for today for multi legs / or Trifecta

A. Worth a single/. Definitely should use on top of Tri

B. Must use in multi leg /. Probably use on the top of some Tri's but definitely in the place spot .

C+ Probably should use in pick 3 or 4 / These are the types I'm looking to wheel on the bottom of the extotics and or cheap win bets

C . Only use in legs of multi race tickets that appear wide open / Just like C+ these are the horses that fit well in 3rd of the Tri.

D. Probably an instant toss , but might finish 4th in the super




Race 8. The Par Day Mile ...Really like 2 horses here for the 3rd spot in the Tri...

1. A-
6. A- Both of these must be used on top and 2nd

2. B-
7. B- Using both of these 2nd

5. C+. Here are my two show horses in the Tri..Will likely use them 2nd in the exacta as well

4. D+. .Johnny V kills me when I don't use him in these type of races

I know they're fun and I bet them too, but GD, it's such a shit bet. I mean you should just get your money back for them actually getting in the gate.

I threw a couple of exacta boxes at the Ortiz Bros today and a few winners on three Spendthrift horses.

My wife and I are going to go see some of the state today. Stopping at Buffalo Trace to grab whatever they release today en route to a little dive BBQ place southeast of Lexington. Proud Mary's..... we've never been but thought it would be a great day to get out with places being less crowded.
