ST. ANDREWS, Scotland (AP) — Brooks Koepka is thinking about more than just golf these days.
The 28-year-old American, the U.S. Open and PGA Championship winner, said Wednesday he was heartbroken to hear a woman struck by his tee shot at the Ryder Cup last week might lose vision in her right eye.
Koepka's wild shot on the sixth hole at Le Golf National hit Corine Remande in the head. According to French media reports, doctors say she has lost sight and she is considering legal action

this article plus the supposed "fight" with Dustin Johnson after the Ryder Cup leads me to believe that Brooks Koepka has a LOT of "distraction' this week in Scotland SO

Tony Finau +115 over Brooks Koepka -135 (44/94.40)

besides, Tony has been the more consistent golfer lately esp last week @ Le Golf National

also "Edgy" Pepperell now +110 over "The Matthew Mouse"

well the 1st round Scottish weather partly cloudy and chilly with temperatures mid 50's to 60 and winds 20-25 mph AND the scores reflected it. Matt "WALL-E" Wallace (@ St Andrews) tied with Aussie Marcus Fraser (@ Carnoustie) tied 1st [-4] with five more tied 3rd [-3] including Padraig Harrington and the Thai kid Phachara "Little Kong" Khongwatmia another seven @ [-2] including favorite Brooks Koepka, the "Great Dane" Lucas Bjerregaard, Lucas Herbert and the Swede kid Markus Kinhult

match plays look like this so far:

Tony Finau +115 [+1] over Brooks Koepka [-2] 3 down
Eddie Pepperell even [+3] over Matthew Fitzpatrick [+4] 1 up
Lucas Bjerragaard -110 [-2] over Andy Sullivan [even] 2 up
Matt Wallace +110 [-4] over Ross Fisher [+3] 7 up (Ya BUT "I've SEEN that FISH Be-FORE" @ Portugal from "WALL-E")
Thomas Pieters -105 [+1] over Matt Kuchar [+1] all even

watching 2nd round replay STILL chilly in Scotland with temperatures mid 50's BUT the wind died down from Thursday and the scores reflected it. Lucas Bjerragaard [-7] for tourney [-9] and the Italian Andrea Pavan [-9] for [-9] TIED for the lead with 1st round co-leader Marcus Fraser [-4], former two time winner Tyrrell Hatton [-6] and the Austrian Matthias Schwab [-5] all tied for 3rd @ [-8]. other of interest "to win" players for me. Ryan Fox [-5] for [-6] tied 8th, Matt Wallace [-1] for [-5] T-12th and both Lucas Hebert [-2] and Marcus Kinhult [-2] tied 18th [-4]

my tourney match plays kind of a "mixed bag". NICE [-6] "bounce back" for Tony Finau Friday

Tony Finau +115 [-6/-5] over Brooks Koepka [even/-2] 3 up
Eddie Pepperell even [-1/+2] over Matthew Fitzpatrick [-3/+1] 1 down
Lucas Bjerragaard -110 [-7/-9] over Andy Sullivan [-1/-1] 8 up
Matt Wallace +110 [-1/-5] over Ross Fisher [-4/-1] 4 up
Thomas Pieters -105 [-1/even] over Matt Kuchar [-4/-3] 3 down

NO CUT after 2nd round this tourney because every player gets to play each of the three courses once. the CUT comes after 54 holes. looks like will be @ [even]

well out house mouse!!! it sure looks like Tyrrell Hatton gonna WIN this thing for the third straight year!!! shoots a third round [-6] for tourney [-14] @ St Andrews for a one shot lead over Marcus Fraser [-5] for [-13] @ Kingsbarn. Tommy Fleetwood [-5] and Scotsman Stephen "Geezer" Gallacher [-6] both tied 3rd [-11] @ St Andrews.

my "to win" players Lucas Bjerregaard and Andrea Pavan didn't really "fire" Saturday both [-1] for [-10] @ Carnoustie tied 5th. they would have to shoot a "bomber" Sunday @ ST Andrews and the top three fall back to have a chance. Brooks Koepka AND the South African Brandon Stone are interesting. BOTH shot [-7] for [-9] @ Kingsbarn. Stone shot a final round 60 at the Scottish Open to WIN by four shots over Eddie Pepperell on the Gullane GC links course back in July AND Brooks Koepka is always dangerous when he is "in range"

got one tourney match play "in the bag" going into Sunday with "Edgy" a CUT win over "The Matthew Mouse" and Bjerregaard four up on Sullivan would have to REALLY screw it up to lose. the other three looking like losers :(

Tony Finau +115 [-1/-6] over Brooks Koepka [-7/-9] 3 down
Eddie Pepperell even [-5/-3] over Matthew Fitzpatrick [-1/even] CUT WIN
Lucas Bjerregaard -110 [-1/-10] over Andy Sullivan [even] [-5/-6] 4 up
Matt Wallace +110 [+2/-3] over Ross Fisher [-6/-7] 4 down (once again "WALL-E" FAIL on the weekend just like in Portugal)
Thomas Pieters -105 [-4/-4] over Matt Kuchar [-3/-6] (53/103.45) 2 down

the third round CUT came at [-3]

Oh YA, Oh YA, Oh YA!!! my "Great Dane" Lucas Bjerregaard with a final round [-5] for tourney [-15] a one shot WINNER over BOTH Tommy Fleetwood [-3] and Tyrrell Hatton [even] for [-14] GETS me the $512.50 "to win" money!!! long hitting Finlander Tapio Pulkkanen solo 4th with [-3] for [-12] moves him to #86 Race to Dubai standings and assures his player card for next season. my pet ChiCom Haotong Li [-6] with his best tourney since his early season WIN in Dubai tied 5th with the Italian Andrea Pavan [even] for tourney [-10]

I go 3-2 in tourney match plays for the week. got REALLY lucky "The Fish" blew up his final round to hand my man "WALL-E" the win in their match

Tony Finau +115 [-2] for [-8] over Brooks Koepka [even] for [-9] lose 1 down
Eddie Pepperell even [even] for [-3] over Matthew Fitzpatrick 3rd round CUT WIN
Lucas Bjerregaard -110 [-5] for [-15] over Andy Sullivan [-2[ for [-8] WIN 7 up
Matt Wallace +110 [-2] for [-5] over Ross Fisher [+3] for [-4] WIN 1 up
Thomas Pieters -105 [+7] for [+3] over Matt Kuchar [+1] for [-5] lose 8 down

all in all my BEST tourney since Andrea Pavan got me the money @ Czech Masters late August, redemption for Lucas Bjerregaard who got "aced out" by Matthew Fitzpatrick in a playoff @ European Masters early September

British Masters @ Walton Heath GC, Surrey, England next week. usually a VERY popular tourney with Justin Rose, Francesco Molinari, Tommy Fleetwood, Matthew Fitzpatrick, Thorbjorn Olesen, Ross Fisher and Eddie Pepperell already listed :)

Hokey Smoke!!! watched the recording of the tourney and Lucas Bjerregaard was lucky he did NOT screw it UP!!! was "Scottish links weather" Sunday COLD with WIND and a rain front coming in so they did a "shot gun start" to get the round in. Bjerregaard went into #17 his finishing hole with a two shot lead over Fleetwood who was in the club house AND Tyrrell Hatton on his finishing hole #18. Bjerregaard THREE PUTTS to finish @ [-14] and Hatton with a makable putt to TIE but MISSED. pure LUCK for me and "The Great Dane"
