NCAAF 2008-2009 Overall 33-35-2 -2.10 units
Week Four 12-7 +6.70 units

First winning week of the season for me finally and pretty happy about it hopefully the beat goes on.

- Went to the Pitt game and had fun, the fact that I was winning money and I was hanging on by an edge the whole game made it a lot more interesting.
- LSU game was awesome, dont know about you guys but SEC primetime is the best game IMO.
-The Big East is still really bad

Shit load of games, not gonna take all these, just leans what I like at first glance

USC -23.5 to win 1 unit

Think USC wins in convincing fashion, dont see anyway that this offense will be stopped. Defense looked great against OSU, think this is a 60-14 type game.

Adding

Louiseville -3 to win 2 units

Just much more talented offensively and I think after last week's K-state game they are probably (sadly) the best team in the Big East. Uconn had some trouble defensively last week and I think the same thing happens this week against Louiseville against a pretty good rushing attack and a decent (up and coming) passing attack. Only thing that worries me is that Louiseville had nearly 600 yards in the K-state game and K-state was still in the game.

Adding

Marshall +14 to win 2 units

Think WVU struggles big time. The days of their dominance is done. Stewart doesnt how to coach a team and should not be a HC at this level. White hasnt looked impressive at all. Marshall will make this a game

Northwestern +9 to win 2 units

Watching Iowa last week in person they didnt look that great. A lot of QB conterversy. Greene is very good, ill give Iowa fans that, but thats all they have going for them right now, the offense isnt very good

Virginia +7 to win 1 unit

I dont believe that Duke is this good or VA is this bad. Hoping that Grothe turns this around this year.

Miami -8 to win 1 unit

Miami looked really good against Texas A and M on the road and this defense is really good. I think the only thing UNC has going for is there win at Rutgers. Beating Rutgers, not a big deal in my book. UNC has struggled on the road for years now, think Miami wins easily

Alex good luck buddy. I was thinking the exact same thing about Marshall and Virgina games. Iowa/Westy is a toss up man. Game should be 17-10 game no matter what way you look at it.

Adding...

Notre Dame -1 to win 3 units

Risking another 3 units on these guys, but I feel better about this one then I did last week against MSU. Purdue barely got by Oregon who has proved to be a bit overrated, and they blew a huge lead. Then they barely got by CMU who some people have said is the worst team in the NCAA's. I know that ND has not looked good, but Purdue looks about the same in my eyes.

Nebraska -6.5 to win 1 unit

I was thinking these guys would be good before the season opened and Im still thinking that way. V. tech is not a very good team, maybe next year in my mind. But some would say they beat UNC because of Yates going out of the game, otherwise, who knows. How will has V. Tech done traveling away from the east coast? Nebraska hasnt played anyone very good, but they have proven even against those teams (teams they would have struggled against last year) that they have played there offense is very good

Georgia -6 to win 2 units

I say this Alabama team isnt as good as most people think. They have beaten Clemson and Arkansas. One very overrated team, and one very weird team. I think Stafford might be one of the best QB's in the country. Should be an interesting matchup, but I dont think Alabama's offense is as good as they seem to be, I think Georgia and the rest of the SEC start to slow them down.

Tennessee +6.5 to win 2 units

Just a gut play for me here. Auburn offense still did not look that great against LSU. I think they had one drive that looked ok, at the end of the game, the TD. But before that they didnt look very good at all. Tennessee keeps this one close, maybe even wins.

Wisconsin -6 to win 1 unit

No reason to think that Michigan's offense can even be competitive right now after that sad display at ND.

Dont think this unbelievably good offense of South carolina's will crush anyone this year.

NC State +9.5 to win 2 units

Lets face it, the Big East isnt that good, SoFlorida is good at home but they are usually less then impressive on the road

Few questions..

You say the BE isn't good, how good is the A-She-She? This is the current top team in the BE versus a bottom 4 team from the ACC.

Letdown not a concern for you following the win over a ranked in-state opponent and conference game with BC next week on deck? Counter argument could be that they confidence now after the win.

Nate Irving (leading tackler) was playing like an all-conference player at LB, his replacement is true frosh Dwayne Maddox.

Then Russell Wilson is out and the turnover prone Harrison Beck is starting in place of him.

At this point in the season, that is their MVP on Offense (Wilson) and defense (Irving)

NCST did get Jamele Eugene back last week which is good for them but USF strength on defense is their rush defense and the last thing O'Brien wants to do is put the game in Beck's hand. In the end, NCST is a team with so many injuries (10) and so much inexperienced depth that I'm not sure they can keep this game close for a full 4 quarters. USF looked like dog shit versus FIU, I know, they played like crap up 14 on UCF and they didn't play well on defense in the KU game but they found a way to win all of those games and I just believe this is not a good situation for NCST. I do believe that NCST knocking off ECU was good for USF so they will be on upset alert and that should of grabbed their attention. This is the part of the schedule for USF where things need to pick up and execution has to be crisp. I don't think NCST can take advantage of USF weakness, their corners. Good Health

Thanks for the insight ETG, gonna still sick with it. I actually think the Big East is a lot worst the ACC. South Florida doesnt play well on the road at all. Just really a gut play here I suppose. GL, thought you would have said something about my UAB

naw i can't hate on anyone getting 27 pts with UAB right now, SC has to score about 40 before i lay 27 with them versus a shit team and they've yet to do it this yr. Its perplexing how much the offense struggles from the 30yd line in cause from 30-30 they move the ball, turnovers have been a plague
