Could have been better but sure could have been worse. Pitt had no chance from the jump. The mets started off well but their bullpen couldnt close things out. Wash was up but couldnt tack on any more late despite chances. both phil and hou pitched great with a houston solo shot being the difference.

All in all, oh so close.

On the flip side, miami outhit the giants and picked up a nice w in a low scoring affair. Quantril outmatched verlander which seemes odd to say, and the fish bullpen held up. Texas was leading early led by a strong outing from Latz but a 5 run 7th by the birds, partially the fault of tex leaving latz in a bit long, allowed the o's to take the lead. Tex kept plugging and held on late picking up the cash in extras.

Model had selected hou and balt as plays. Ive sure taken advantage of these limited starters or bullpen games, but im not getting nearly compensated enough to go against 2 of the better pitchers on the card. Both the balt and houston lineups have promise to get runs, but it again comes down to price.

Gimme North of 150 on each and i might have some interest.

Others that look interesting ari, cle, tb, and cinc.

Best of luck on your action.
