Thought he was surgical under pressure (I realize Kirkland is beyond hopeless defensively) and that was a super-star making effort. ZERO chance Canelo gives up the Mexican dates to Mayweather now. To deliver that after Chavez Jr.'s flame out? Canelo is a fucking legend in Mexico today.

Also, Cole needs to die in a tire fire. That fight had FOTY possibilities if someone like Smoger was working it. Bank on this though, Haymon is going to protect Figueroa even more than Danny Garcia at 140 lbs, otherwise he's getting starched by the first legit top 10 guy he fights.
