He used to wear one of those 1990s thin white chin straps. Finally one game he got a crown of the helmet directly into the chin. Split his chin open, knocked him out of the game. When he came back next week he had the super-protective, heavy duty, padded chin strap and played with it ever since. You can see it in his old football cards.
