2026 NFL Draft Discussion and In-Game

Haha losers stuck around all night to hear they drafted a guard

There are a million happy hour tabs in PITT I would prefer to pick up than doing that gong show

I'll leave this here as it's likely the most appropriate forum if there is such a thing

Mom passed on 3/23 and she was so much more informed about the Cardinals than I could dream of being. She'd throw names out there I never heard of. This last month if I've been standoffish, it's because this came pretty quickly and I am an only child. My goal is to celebrate, not make it about me. But it's not easy. I'm still insanely confused with bills/accounts etc

So thank you for being a community I can count on. Family and friends stepped up their games but eventually the loneliness catches up. My hope all along is to have great conversation if for no other reason than to talk sports as an aside. Pretty sure I get on the right track sooner than later and appreciate you guys.

I gave it a sad because I’m sorry you lost your mom. I lost mine rather quickly 9 years ago on 4/1. I’m 42 and feel like a kid but I was really a kid at 33. I never close out CTG tab on my phone or web browser. It’s always a great community. Your mom sounds awesome. RIP.

Deeply sorry brother, lost my mother last year. Always here to talk sports or whatever.

Going to the draft looks awful. I'll watch from the comfort of my house.
Two years ago...

In Detroit...

I was lucky enough that at 5:15 pm they shut down entries to the draft.

Why? Well we went and spent 20 bucks cover each for a private party instead right in Greek town, a few blocks away from the draft...

Food trucks, huge screens and readily available bathrooms.

MUCH better.

Sounds about right, glad it worked out the way that it did. As I've gotten older I've developed some anxiety in large crowds. Not lose your shit anxiety but not enjoying it and wanting to gtfo anxiety. Give me a small, intimate event with fewer assholes any day.
I feel like this is common. When i was younger i always wanted to go to a stadium for big games. Now i strongly prefer just hanging out in a comfortable space posting with you guys

I would literally become a homicidal maniac if I went to the Phoenix Open.

I do Derby occasionally when we have peeps that want to come in but my wife really has to twist my arm. Two years ago I was just the transporter for them.

Couldn't be happier with the BUFFALO BILLS trading down 3 times and out of the first round for picks in this draft ( next year might be too late for a team trying to win right now)

Needs going into day 2

Nothing would shock me moving forward. Only positions that shouldn't be drafted are TE, QB, C and maybe OT

CB.
Once again the banged up secondary helped send the Bills packing out of the playoffs. Benford is sold and last year's first rounder Maxwell Hairston is good , but after that ??? Dee Alford was brought in from Atlanta to play Nickel corner .. Rookie 24 pick Dorian Strong looked fantastic in the preseason but then had a serious neck injury. ...Hoping the Bills draft at least 2 CB'S with their current 9 picks ..

DT
Last years steal 4th rounder Deone Walker will be the starter but the depth is kind of light assuming Ed Oliver will play DE in the new 3-4 scheme.

LB.
Starters Bernard and Williams are good , but Williams was toasted in coverage last season when Milano was out. Milano still might resign after the draft but he's 32 now and often injured. Buffalo Joe Andresson is only other LB with snaps last season on the roster.
ILB must be addressed at least once in this draft , hopefully by at least round 4 if not earlier.

EDGE.
On the depth chart the OLB starters are listed as DE Greg Rousseau and acquisition Bradley Chubb . Bills GM Beane and DC Jim Leonard are high and edge rusher Javon Solomon who has made splash plays occasionally the last 2 seasons. Michael Hoecht made big plays vs the Chiefs but then tore his Achilles in only his 2nd game of the season. His questionable timed return should have BILLS adding at least one edge this draft.

WR.
LOVE the trade for DJ MOORE who gives the BILLS some speed they haven't had the last few seasons at WR. Behind sure handed Shakir there are a ton of questions. Beane was embarrassing at the McDermott firing press conference blaming the coaches for drafting Keon Coleman. New HC Joe Brady said he basically stood on the table to get Keon. Will he be traded tonight ?? Hope he comes back with a massive chip on his shoulder to prove the doubters wrong. Tyrell Shavers was ascending during the playoff win over the Jags before the knee injury. Josh Palmer didn't pan out last season , but is still under a bad contract...Mecole Hardman might just be a return man at best now. I'd be shocked if the BILLS didn't take at least 1 WR ...

OG
David Edwards leaving hurts but they couldn't keep everyone. Pleasantly surprised the Bills had the room to keep super Center McGovern.
The depth is depleted with Mr. do everything Alec Anderson penciled in to start at LG this season. Bills are going to have to pay O Cyrus Torrence this season or they better start planning to find his replacement.
At least 2 lineman should be drafted , hopefully with some versatility to play G or possibly OT ...

Nice work by the Bills. First round talent basically ended at Pick 20. Picks 21-50 were categorized as pretty much interchangeable in terms of talent level. By trading down several times the Bills got a 3rd round swap gaining 22 spots and two 4th rounders and are still in good position in the 2nd.

I sure hope they did the right thing when it's all said and done ( check back in 2-3 years lol ) ...
On paper I agree they did nice work getting those extra picks and moving up 22 picks in the 3rd round.
Love having early picks in the next 3 rounds and the additional 2, 4th rounders.

I did not attend. A comfy recliner equidistant from the flat screen and the fridge is much better.

We have JazzFest these next two weeks and I just don’t feel like being in the crowd. Definitely an age thing.
