2026 NFL Draft Discussion and In-Game

As is typically the case in December, Cardinals fans only have the draft to look forward to and for the first time in several years I don't have a clue how the team approaches it. Naturally we need a QB but this class sucks so my guess is somehow that gets addressed in free agency. For the most part the skill positions are set, Harrison simply has failed to perform in a couple years and Conner will be back...hell we're missing 3-4 running backs lol. So I assume we go OL. By all accounts I see Mendoza being mentioned as the top pick but currently it's NYG and Tennessee battling for that spot, can't see either using it on a QB.

How do you see it playing out or what do you want if you're a fan of a shitty team? ISU's punter declared for the draft as a junior 🤣
 
Thankful the BILLS finally got rid of McDermott. His last day of employment here should have been 13 seconds where he not only didn't squib kick with the lead to waste invaluable seconds , he then called timeout for the Chiefs after a first down catch.

Moving on , LOVE the move to the 3/4 on defense.
Going to need some Linebackers, DE and CB depth.
On the other side of the ball WR, and OL depth will likely be targeted.

I'd be completely shocked if the BILLS stayed put #26. Trading away the first round seems likely, while there is a slim chance they move up ( I guess ) , there is a far greater chance they move back into the 2nd while acquiring more picks.

These college kids are more delusional than ever , have talked to at least 5 UB Bulls who think they're getting drafted....Would love some of what they're smoking.🤣🤣

Why the F is Ty Simpson being mentioned as a first round selection ??🤣🤣🤣
 
Interested to see what Washington does at 7 and if this new group can get it right. Pretty important year and sucks we don’t have but 6 picks I think.

My son thinks Washington rebounds big time this season ..Keeps telling me to bet their over and to make playoffs .

I dunno about big time, but should improve. I don’t think they’re quite a 12 win NFCCG type but should be better than a 5 win team.

It’s all dependent on JD staying healthy. He goes down then it’s another disaster season. If he stays healthy I could see 9 wins, maybe 10 if things fall right. I believe the schedule is gonna be tough and both Dal/NYG should be better too.

Not sure they have enough to make the playoffs imo. Need to nail this draft and fill a couple more holes next off season, then maybe we be cookin

What did they do this off-season?

That's an old team we saw last year with a dynamic young QB. Of course, many predicted the young QB would have injuries and that came to fruition.

They need some youth !

@VirginiaCavs with the nice run down. @B.A.R. AP has signed nothing but youth so far and they'll add another at #7 tonight, just wish we had more picks but that's the price you pay for bad trades by the former regime. Hopefully he learned signing guys like BWag is good as a stop gap for a year or two but really doesn't solve the need. His predecessor made some awful vet signings (y'all remember Albert Haynesworth, Prime Time was over the hill, Adam Archuleta, Bruce Smith and the list goes on) and never learned the lesson there.

Now he'll have to hit on the majority of Oweh, Robertson, Chenal, Settle, Chaisson, Okonkwo, Cross, Omenihu, and White for this off season to accomplish the goal of getting younger and better. Chances are a couple of those won't work and hopefully it's not Oweh at his price tag. AP won't fill all the holes in one offseason but if he hits 75% of these signings and the 7 pick we'll be in position next offseason to really start talking about a better team. I'm waiting to see it play out on the field myself.

Haven't seen much in the way of protection for JD unfortunately or help on that side either.

High school sports betting has grown like a relentless weed on steroids. Locals needed something of their own after the sports books were legalized here .
Before being limited I was paying $50 a week for daily emails on which HS pitchers were starting , Injuries and occasional information that a coach was planning on playing the backups vs a weak school ....Wild winning on schools that were laying -23.5 runs , mercing then by 30+ in just innings 🤣
 
Gotta be a kick to the nuts for the NFL that Mendoza isn't going to be there

Bills trade first round pick would be my bet ...Can't see them staying in the first round, they need to get more picks , they're right up against the cap and they need a ton of young depth/eventual contributors .

Already traded away the 2nd round pick in the DJ Moore deal ...

Thinking Beane will want a 2nd and /3rd Or 4th....


Only concern is I'm not sure the BILLS 25th pick overall is worth that much in what is widely considered a shallow 1st round.

Anything you can do to get picks next year should be the plan for teams in the later half of the 1st round.

Problem for the BILLS is they appear to NEED those picks this draft ..

I'm with you thou , my high hopes have them getting a 2nd round and 5th this draft , and a 2nd/3rd next year....Pipe dreams 🤣

Son is nicely invested in Shough cards ( he's going way too cheap up here in NY . Bought a ton of rookies for 25 cents and up ... also some super deals on variants/numbered cards...Think we're up to 84 cards now

Drafting a RB in the top 10 has been shitted on for the last decade, and now we're talking about trading up to draft one at 3?

Having said that, if I'm the Rams I'm going for it this year and going up from 13 to get him at 3.

Extremely risky but the hype is Barkley/Bijan ...League seems to be shifting back to the rb being important again ..
