2026 Golf Handicapping Thread....

Wind down today, early round 2 bets moved in my favor. Hopefully im right but hard to ignore what many players commented on yesterday- Greens are only going to get faster, making approach shot placement more critical.

One take from 2025 masters discussion is Rosey’s rd.2 Masters average score typically not good, his over/under is 71.5, could very well shoot even par today

Rd.2 add:

Rahm under 71.5 -140 2.85u (DK)
Live add- Bridgeman -105 v Garcia 5u (DK), down 1 thru 1
The interesting thing with guys like Rahm, Min woo and Bryson is their mentality today could be to be ultra aggressive and that could lead to a few big numbers.

We'll see.

Nice start for Rahm so far.

Did X under 71.5 -105, fairly inexpensive to simply break par and I'm pretty comfortable with how he's been playing. Probably should have taken Burns over but haven't seen anyone starting under par go off the rails just yet outside of Woodland and he's only 3 over for the day which could have been expected I guess after a draining last week. I certainly don't think Burns goes low again.

Nice idea on X tbh

Adding Hatton and Clark at big numbers makes the big guy happy this morning.

I couldn't resist on Gotterup either.

Bridgeman add wasn't good.

Bottom line is I looked for good value + guys who were doing well T2G.

Putting is actually overrated at Augusta when looking at the group as a whole.

To illustrate putting....

Yes, Rory and Reed but overall..

Very good point and great attack, I'm certain your pockets will be happy come Sunday evening.

Just can't wrap my head around who's gonna sport the green.. yet. Hoping to add a couple of outrights come tomorrow. First things first, need my horses to come through, lots vested thus far.

Garcia double bogey on 17, just like the man I thought he was. LFG!

C'mon Scotty, let's see an eagle on the back 9

Happy where I sit right now. Only misses halfway through are Mav, Rahm and Conners. If Rory doesn't run away with it, I feel pretty good with my positions on X, P, and Team Rose

Only issue is Rory is running away.

You gotta figure he shoots at least a 2/3 under and maybe a par round.

So, at minimum, we're talking -15 being a number to get to. That's two damn good rounds by someone coming from behind.

We'll see, but I'm definitely a bit bummed going into the weekend.

Can you imagine this tournament without Rory?? Incredible.

Sergio over whatever Saturday and worth a ladder if you can for me

I can't but guessing will be able to live as the round plays on

76 is my guess

4-6 rd.2 -11.6u. DK pulled over/unders, was comparing lines last night, waiting for DK but still nothing.

Rd.3 plays in, gonna stalk live and crush DK, fockers

Scheffler 70 or better -150 9u (MGM)
Fatrick 71 or better -120 7u (MGM)
Bridgeman under 71.5 -105 7u (Ceasars)

No overs mate?

I'm looking hard at them today as I think the breeze and sun catches up biggly today. Haven't seen pin placements, might do some hole by hole bogeys

I’m certain they’ll be plenty of overs but just can’t play them, not in my nature to root against/root for a bad score. Very dumb on my part, likely, but I just mostly look for value on doable under scores. GL

With that being said, DK opened their over/unders, probably didn’t want to expose themselves overnight, as their numbers have been excellent v. Competitors. Good news is I didn’t lose value on bets placed already.

Rd.3 adds:

X under 71.5 -152 6u(DK)
Bridgeman under 72.5 -142 5u(DK)

LFG!

Ironically higher scores is what draws me to watching golf. Can see 15 under at any course USA or wherever, those that require a -3 to win is the entertainment I get from watching. Augusta doesn't really provide that and has become my least favorite major for that reason. PGA has stepped it up recently. Always know US and British Opens will deliver but this course has become really boring to me. Need a couple doubles in key situations to stay really interested.

I get ya, I enjoy the U.S Open and British as much as all others, just tougher to bet for me. Keep in mind, Masters under plays are subjective- even, 1-2 under is all I’m asking for

Some people play strictly overs.

The point is, you play what makes you profit.

And lately.... It's working beautifully!!

Sunday Masters- Getting these ones in early at DK

Bridgeman under 71.5 -132 10.75u
Young under 71.5 -144 10.75u

Really agree on Bridgeman here.

I'm not disagreeing on Cam at all.. just not sure yet.

Overall, Cam is my rooting I interest. He's my best payout right now.

Part of me wants to add Hatton to win but the other part of me likes money

Ready to move on to RBC as Reno indicated but for good record keeping- 0-4 Rd.4 Masters -34u. Hit and lost a couple through the weekend and ended up around -32u total for the Masters. Not going to rant, overall it was a great tourney that I really enjoyed, selections on Sunday just weren't the right ones.

Golf & gambling gods simply said not your horses today for Sunday Masters but we'll throw you a bone elsewhere- Hail Mary play yesterday late afternoon, liked what I played but with longshots, rarely do they bounce your way. LFG!
