Often it's all about the roll !!! The freshness with the right amount salt and caraway seeds is everything ...
The horseradish is almost equally as important ..Miller's pictured has no equal. Unless some restaurant or family has an excellent homemade one.

If you're ever in town I'll give you like 15 different great spots ...They go down great with a pitcher of beer 🍻

We have a family recipe for our wafer sliced beef, horseradish and rolls...
I've ate myself into a food coma so many times

Agree with DoubleUp. If you’re in the area, make sure you get a good one for the full experience and not some imitation. Just about every one I’ve had in Buffalo (except at Wegmans - even though I love Wegmans generally) has been great, but I have tried them in places outside of Buffalo and not nearly as good. It is a killer sandwich!

Yeah Wegmans isn’t the spot for a beef on weck. It’s great for almost everything, that isn’t one of them.

Charlie the Butcher is probably the most famous one, not sure it’s the best one though, but it is an awesome sandwich. Schwabl’s, Bar Bill (which also has a top 3 chicken wing in the area, probably my #1 wing spot), the 33 Speakeasy, and a handful of other spots have great beef on weck. Bar Bill is typically top 3 on this list as well, which is damn impressive for a little spot in East Aurora (before they opened a 2nd spot in the north towns) to have the best chicken wings AND beef on weck in the area. Amazing really when you think about it, they’re at or near the top for the 2 food items the area is most famous for…and you can’t fit more than 100 people in the entire place.
 
I hope to experience a Wegmans before I die

If it’s comparable to Publix then I’ll certainly be impressed

He's without a doubt the worst GM I have ever seen and he better be fired after the season. I don't think he has made one good trade and the drafts have been abysmal. The pizza boy is also a total asshole that makes rooting for the team impossible so screw him and Dolan for hiring him in the first place.

Bring a cooler. You won’t leave disappointed. It’s a must stop every time we visit Buffalo. And they are just starting to expand into the Pittsburgh market. Can’t wait.

Strongly recommend if you're ever in WNY that you visit the Wegmans on Sheridan and Hopkins ..
Beautiful spacious upstairs to eat your food. Overlooks the store. . We used to have chess tournaments up there .

If you need a remote for the TVs it's in the top hutch drawer lol

So because the Hurricanes are playing Monday night at home, the NHL moved the panthers game up for a 6pm puck drop and people are unloading their tickets, I got 2 tickets row 1 in the upper bowl where the sharks shoot 2x for $80 section 315 aisle seats 1 and 2 can’t wait to see Celebrini live

Game should be done by the beginning of the 2Q in the national championship game I’d think

I love that combo. Looks like a local brand too. Can’t beat it.

i like minnesota today i feel like buffalo will give them a good game but run out of gas late

need to check but feels like buffalo has played a lot of hockey this past week
 
that was awesome, Foligno (minny) and kessering (buff) finish their penalties and meet at center ice to fill each others dance card and then get sent right back to the box

stick taps for kessering, foligno is a tough customer

Like to see the respect as he put his hand behind his head as they went down so it didn't bounce off the ice
 
theyre fired up and this crowd has to be feeling it too especially with their bills taking the field this afternoon
