These things happen with rebuilding bottom tier teams but at least they are both headed in the right direction. Its far better than the Rangers heading around the edges of playoff contention with no future headed by the worst GM in team history.

Minnesota better get Quinn signed long term or that deal is disastrous. Good luck convincing him not to go play with his brothers but they should get a short term boost from getting him.

Pens are going to be bad for a while. It was worth it for the Cups. I’ll never forget watching them hoist it in Det and Nash. But should have traded Letang and Malkin years ago when they had the chance.

Its a common mistake keeping the team together when they have won a championship but I like the GM and coach.

Happy for Kane. I got to meet him early in his career after a game in Pittsburgh. Don’t even think he was 21 yet. He was my kids favorite player so a mutual friend set it up. He was super nice to my boys. Took a bunch of pics and signed stuff for them. Man how time flies…

That's terrific.

One reason I'm really glad he's in Detroit is I've been able to gain a much bigger appreciation for him and his career.
 
In all seriousness Kane should be ashamed of himself. He could learn a thing or two from Jackie Robinson who retired rather than play for the rival Giants. There is no doubt in my mind that Mark Messier would never have played one shift for the Calgary Flames yet the athletes now have no issue suiting up for the biggest rivals of the franchise that made them.
