I was all excited scrolling down this page and seeing the updates!! No worries though, thanks for running this. I used to run fantasy football leagues pre-internet days out of notebooks and newspapers, so I know that keeping track of all this stuff can be a headache at times.

group stages was kind of tough but after that it was all gravy, and surprisingly I've only made 1 mistake that I know in this contest! :shake:

There has to be something that can be done for the winners if they didn't give their account number before the contest. If you get the account number at some point, even after the contest for those who won, it doesn't seem like it'd be a big deal. There was prize money to be given out, it should rightly be given out to the winners.

Common sense doesn't prevail huh?

What was the point of the updates throughout the contest if only 8 people were 'eligible' to win? It was obviously known when the WC started that only 8 people sent their account numbers....no one could give a heads up and let people know who missed that point (which was clearly a vast majority of those in the contest) to shoot their account #s via PM?
 
It isn't a big deal but...

The biggest part of having books sponsor contests is to be able to get signups at those particular books. There were 46 people in this contest. Of those 46, a total of 8 sent in their account numbers. We also had a handful of people that participated in other contests for BOL that we already had on file. So, we basically had over half the people who did not follow a simple rule. Now, do they already have a BOL account? Perhaps they do. They may not though. So, those who do not place in the money may never actually sign-up.

It is something most places do when hosting/sponsoring contests such as these. That is the common sense part of it.

This is the LAST contest though we are going to be nice about it. You guys did great and deserve the prize.

Understood, but again maybe next contest if it's noticed that a vast majority didn't get their account #s in there could be a reminder posted to make sure everyone knows it needs to be done. It just seems like the right thing to do with this group of guys who are pretty tight-knit and full of good guys.
